Ouch. 2.01 Ghz single core; hopefully that is an early Athlon 64 processor, else it'd be lower still. An Athlon 64 should stand a good chance, if it is coupled with a decent graphics card and enough ram.
Indeed so, Blizzard was very quick to stress that this will work with the most modern Intel Mac computers as well as Windows XP and Vista machines, though they have refused so far to make any comment on the likelyhood of Windows Seven support, which is almost certain to be there as well (if it isn't, Starcraft II isn't going to be playable very long at all).
I should be clear in this post, that the machine positively identified is quite, quite high end and far above the normal levels of gamer hardware. It is highly unlikely that it is going to be typical of the machines that Starcraft II will be played upon for the majority of gamers. However, it is the first full garenteed specifications, in which if you have these or above, you're going to be running Starcraft II pretty damn well and with some great eye candy features turned on.
Clearly more than just a simple weekend hobby :D
Extremely popular? No doubt :D I can guess why, playing Starcraft to the late hours for revision :D
This is very old news, it has been up on Starcraftwire.net for over six months. That PDF is nothing new.
I agree. Just as some people will say that it is easy for him to block it, it would be even easier for the company to simply listen and have stopped spamming him. They kept it up with that knowledge, they ended up in court, and they lost. Should've just added his name to a block list of thier own not to email anymore.
I have little patience or respect for spammers, and a respectable company should know better than to needlessly harass people when they've taken the time to conta...
I knew the world of academia was expanding in many directions, but lecturing on a computer game is a new one on me.
Wonder if it'll be popular or not.
Think they need someone to direct the promo clip, let alone the movie, first :P
It is good to see this process, unique even.
I'm bias, I like the old Stalker. But I also think adding the silver trim was a good touch, it does link in with other Dark Templar technology's colour schemes that way.
It always would figure that decent shots of the Thor's new shoulders would emerge today of all days, instead of two days ago when I actually could have done something...
I'm glad you appreciated it, I've been wanting to write about it for a while as well :D
It appears Starcraft II is getting far more crumbs of information recently, but at least we're hearing something, and the game is going to be later.
Somewhere Blizzard must have a team of highly trained monkeys supplimenting their art department's efforts; it is the only way they could be producing this much high quality work without making the rest of the company bankrupt :D
LOL at Tamer
I look forward to seeing the rest of the series.
yeah, I appreciate the irony contrasted with real life. Torture's all fine and cool apparently, as long as it's behind closed doors. Any depiction in fiction or entertainment even in passing therefore must be wrong....Of course! :D
Hurray for simulated torture :D
Seriously, they're making a bit much out of this.
Looks like we're in the same boat, I'm hoping my PC won't need upgrades for another two years, but I doubt I'll get that far without feeling a real pinch.
