Obey the wishs of Maticus, or be forced to face her anger! :D
Monkey Island 3, 2D graphics yet beautifully drawn, it had its own style that nothing has replicated since twelve years on. It is fantastic what they can do sometimes with 'old' technology, totally turning it on its head. It just takes imagination, skill, and effort, with whatever tools you have at hand.
Never skip on your tech budget, only bad things can happen
Indeed, the Drone is the perfect example of how earlier art work, that some critics started using as a basis for giving Starcraft II flak for looking too cartoony and a Warcraft 3 Clone were basing their opinions on placeholder graphics, the less brilliant stuff is being phased out.
Yeah, I'm glad Blizzard have given the art team enough time to not just do the work satisfactorily, but go back over and upgrade most of it all over again. Shows they want this game to shine.
Chocolate fingers could very shortly become the next great stable currency to invest in: Buy now, else they could very well be mine, and devoured!
I know they'll work hard, and I doubt they'll compromise on the desire for low systems requirements just to tart the game up, Blizzard have always been very effecient at what they do.
The game in general or the drone/lobster thing? :D
:(
It was worth a try at least :)
I wish I had a beta key.
Bubbles if you agree? :D
Nice to know the guys at Blizz have a sense of humour, though in recent Starcraft II screenshots some of the more cartoony models have actually become more realistic. So they're both poking fun of us and listening, which is a good combo in my book :D
That hat is just too amusing for the picture. Can't stop laughing at it.
That's radical thinking there Leord :P
They're making moves to register it, after it was sidelined four years ago? Clearly, something is happening with that game after all...
I like how the article they're making reference to, at http://www.diii.net/blog/co... they failed to link to. The title clearly stated "Blizzard Confirms Diablo III for 2010?" not "Blizzard Confirms Diablo III for 2010" and the first line read as "They didn’t actually say so..." It was admitted hope and speculation. This response article overblows the origi...
like the "in-place upgrade" system doesn't usually completely screw up the install and need to be wiped and clean reinstalled usually anyway...
I've had nothing but problems with trying to 'upgrade' an OS. Just wipe it and reinstall clean, the incompatibilities that Windows doesn't consider and correct always crop up, with some applications refusing to run or just making the whole PC unstable. I just don't bother with repair installs or upgrade installs anymore, nothi...
Guess this project is getting some serious attention. I do worry for future developments in WoW though, looks more likely that it'll get sidelined and see smaller, less worthwhile expansion packs.
Can't really call it BS. The article is pointing out weakenesses in the UAC which Windows 7 uses, while XP has...absolutely no UAC system at all. Hence, less secure. The unfortunant truth, Windows 7s UAC currently has holes in compared with Vista, but XP has a great steaming hole in that it simply has no equivelent system whatsoever. Can't really dispite that having no UAC is less secure than having a UAC even with a couple of holes in it at beta on default settings, and if you can't dispite ...
Guess in old age, things become not so quick :D
I share the same conclusion. These specs are of a high end machine, but it was likely sponsored by Asus to be Blizzard's demo machine for the rep, rather than someone at Blizz actually believing the game needing that much power to run well. This should hopefull be overkill for Starcraft II, else a great deal of people are going to be disappointed.
Yep.
A great deal of people are going to be very, very loud about this in all probability.
