Ok so, here's the thing. Neither side is wrong or right. Both style of games deserve to exist, heavy story driven narratives and arcadey "just gameplay" or "story doesn't matter" games. The problem is when people say that the other doesn't matter or when they are compered to each other.
A primarily COD fan saying Deus Ex "sucks" because there's "too much talking" is the problem. They have an opinion but are stating it ...

The internet has changed in the last 10 years. People are way more fickle than they were.
TF2 kind of ( i repeat, kind of) came out of nowhere and slowly built up it's big audience over time. Overwatch is blowing up very quickly with a higher likelihood of burning out.
Overwatch is not a spiritual successor to TF2! LOL! If that's the case you'd have to say Battle Born is too.

Slim versions of Consoles have different hardware, even CPU and RAM (See: Xbox 360 and PSP for a few examples.The PSP actually has double the RAM in one of its revisions.
