@Opie The huge difference is that Battlefront was the "full" game for $60 with having to pay for DLC for more, where SFV had all the game modes being added soon for free with and only extra characters being added at paid DLC.

"Ryse: Son of Rome, which is actually the same game length as The Order: 1886, but it never took any flack for it."

That's because it had a crappy arena multiplayer mode that no one played but hey, it reached the time spent\content to money spent ratio so it has to be ok, right? :/

Short yes, linearity has nothing to do with it. Linear, hub world, open world, arena ..um gamespace (i guess) ..etc. Its all based on the game design the developer wants to make. Should every game arbitrarily be open world because of perceived value?

My whole point is that they didn't judge it rationally but yes they don't have to come back. :)

It already is. PSN has always been better than XBL even when it was free. Click this link HERE to find out why. #clickbait

The Order was a victim of the monkey see, monkey do mentality that has been happening more and more in games. People that haven't played the game at all passing judgement based solely on the ramblings of others.

I guarantee alot of people that tore it apart at launch are enjoying the game at 20$ or less and actually might think it's pretty good, but none of them are coming back to sites like this to say they were wrong.

Bethesda peaked with Fallout 3. They can keep their price gouging non-sense. I have other, better, games to play. :)

Soul Sacrifice Delta for $7.19 is down right theft!

"Rock Band 4: So bad it got people fired from Harmonix and Mad Catz"

First line of the article "Okay, so maybe not really;"

First line of second paragraph "Rock Band 4‘s issues didn’t directly lead to anyone losing their job"

close window and facepalm

PS: apparently scores of 78-79 are "So bad" now-a-days

ok, sounds like with an S sound instead of Z.

Hoping for a physical release for Vita but Day One either way.

You don't have to buy them and you can play the games you already own on their original systems.

I really don't know why people still use the ol' "I have to pay 10-15 dollars for game i already own" You don't have to do anything. Sony isn't forcing you to buy these games. I could have bought Rouge Galaxy, but i didn't because Sony isn't forcing me to buy anything.

I own Persona 3 and Digital Devil Saga 1+2 on PS3. If they...

But dude, you don't get it. The Vita is dead because it doesn't have a GTA on it. Japanese games are weird and dumb and i don't get them so they aren't good.

But seriously, really looking forward to Severed, Zero Escape and OdinSphere! :)

The Vita shone pretty bright but most people didn't notice because they were too busy looking at their cell phones and saying how it was the future of gaming.

I've noticed that most of the interactions between characters in the game were with in game character models moving and emoting and only seem have the side by side portrait art during the "social link" sequences that have so far for me been 4-6 short forced sequences, maybe when you meet a new character, i dont know. But calling it MORE visual novel than JRPG is a quite a ways off.

I am over 15 hours in. I'm at the part where you leave the army base and str...

"Trails of Cold Steel seems more like a visual novel than a JRPG"

This statement is so inaccurate i can't even believe the person who wrote this article even played the game. Those "visual novel" sections happen so infrequently that i struggled to remember a part in the game where that even happened and i'm 15 hours in.
Walking around talking to people in the game and making dialogue choices isn't exclusive to Visual Novels. Basically e...

Git Gud on K&M, whats the problem? Devs don't have to support controller. People could adapt instead of crying about it. This is coming from a non-PC master race guy. :)
