I doubt that claim about 480 Stream processors. It is most likely 240 stream processors like Nvidia's up coming chip.

But probably uses the same technique as seen on the ATI RV530 chip. Where it uses a special technique using 2 buses instead of one.. So it's not actually 480 stream processors, but it act's like it is.

Think of it like Hyper-Threading on an Intel Pentium 4. The P4 acts as if it has 2 cores, when in reality it doesn't. But by acting like it does, it al...

If that's true, that's practically double the amount of stream processors on the current king, 9800 series. Which only have 128 stream processors.... Can I get a boo-ya!?

And Nvidia not using DDR5 yet is a good choice I think. It's still a relatively new technology. And it's not really needed quite yet. The main focus is on the graphics chips performance. And Nvidia has really made an uber card this time around. Over 1 Billion transistors... hell yeah. Ain't that a record in GPU tec...

Yeah... I'm struggling with my mere 74GB of space :(...... I struggle to even keep 4gb free :(

an_idiot: You really are an idiot lol. Don't call a story fake when you have no proof of it being fake.

Fudzilla is a respected reporter on these types of things. They have a lot of deep sources.

I was expecting a higher clock than that for something that's supposed to be a major improvement over current cards..

But clock speed isn't the main factor in performance, architecture/design is the biggest part. Hopefully it performs really well.

Can't wait to see the clock speed for Nvidia's GT200 lol.. I'm willing to bet that GPU dealers will be selling 1GHZ versions, because 1Billion+ transistors is easily capable of that speed.

And 80% of console games aren't worth buying the console for. So what's your point?

6611d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yes, I mean't 1 Billion =/, hate when I miss spell things like that lol.

GIJeff: No. It won't be best.

The 8800GT is the one with the most transistors right now, 754Million.

The upcoming GT200 is a SINGLE chip card with over 1Billion transistors..

2 8800's might be a little better.. But then you could always use 2 GT200's instead.

If you just mean price wise.. Yeah initially it's going to be expensive, but the price will drop in time of co...

Not to mention the GT200 will also have over 1MILLION transistors....

The highest amount of transistors on current gen graphics cards is 754 million.

Anyone who's thinking of reporting this story for not having the new logo as the story image.

I couldn't find the new logo in a big enough size and that wasn't water marked by Fudzilla. People can click the link to see all the new logo's.

Although I wouldn't exactly call them new, more like words added.

650-700 price is for it's workstation cards..

You actually paying for graphics drivers with those cards.. not the hardware itself.

You can bios mod normal desktop Nvidia cards to use the high end workstation bios. It's the same architecture, just special drivers to enhance 3d modeling performance and such.

Wow if that's true.. That is ridiculous..

Unless she can somehow loose her clothes, fight in the nude and have "sex battles"

I highly doubt it's getting an 18 rating. Unless the BBFC is just trying to look like they do rate games R sometimes to cover they're ass for GTA.

I really highly doubt this.. But if it's true, it will piss me off a lot. Cause they deserve all the money they can get for this game. And this will make it harder for me to bu...

Yeah exactly.. Just cause a better card comes out doesn't mean you NEED TO HAVE IT.

If the card you have now gives the performance you need, then your fine. Until you need more performance then just wait. If you really wanted more performance to being with, then you would have bought 2 or 3 cards and put them in SLI. Or gotten a 9800GX2.

Oh and if you want to avoid things like this.. Study up about upcoming cards before you buy. Because the new ATI and NVidia chips coming ...

I hope the upcoming video has footage of the machines actually creating the motherboard, not just showing the motherboard in stages of completion.

Uh Pain: ...Stop being a raging Mac fanboy for a second and think about what OTHER people do with they're computers.

People who do 3d graphic design, or people who play the latest computer games.. They need large amounts of RAM for the GAME or GRAPHICS PROGRAMS..

3D Models can become GB's in size depending on detail and complexity. #D Modelers need a lot of RAM.

And games are advancing really fast and are needing more and more RAM.

Yeah a person like y...

Was an interesting article to read. Nice to see one that isn't entirely biased to a certain OS.

This story is pointless.. If you want more RAM. Then use a 64bit version.

Windows has had 64Bit versions of it's OS's for a while now.

I use Windows XP Pro 32-bit. But they're is that 64bit version also.

And if you want your XP to see all 4GB, enable PAE.
