"If you torrent an XBox 360 game and play it, you’re stealing from the game developer"
No, stealing requires there to be a loss from one party. With piracy there is only a gain. The developer has not suffered a loss of anything, unless the person pirating was someone who was actually going to buy the game in the first place, but then suddenly decided to just pirate it.
Nobody is saying that aren't going to do anything. What they are saying is that there is LITTLE Sony can do about it.
This games pretty good. Beat it last week on the PC. The game world is fairly massive, a lot bigger than I was expecting. The combat style is fairly fun too, and is contact based instead of target based. So if you use the pole-arm weapons (which are the best btw :P) if anything is in the path of the weapon swing it will be hit, even the back end of the pole-arm lol.
Another cool feature is the use of PhysX for the magic. You can spawn game world objects with magic, and throw ...
@pacosanchez88:
You didn't read what I said carefully. I didn't say he was ignorant just because he wasn't used to it. I said he was ignorant for "hating it" just because hes not used to it.
If you switched the pedals on me, I would merely say, this is an inconvenience since I'm not used to this pedal configuration. But I wouldn't say I hate it. If I kept using the pedals that way, I would soon become comfortable with them and no...
You suit your name well. Not thinking about what you're saying too carefully.
Nobodies arguing about mouse and keyboard being better or worse for FPS's. It's a well known fact they are better, not up for argument lol.
As for PS3's analog sticks being better... uh no. The 360's and the PS3's are mechanically the same. And if you played on shooters on the consoles, you'd know how fast it moves the camera is an option you control in the ...
You hate it because you're not used to it. And that my friend is called ignorance!
@BLuKhaos:
You fail. The Xbox controllers got smaller, not bigger. The original one was pretty big (I still liked it though and I have fairly small hands.), then they came out with a bit smaller one. Then when the 360 came out, it was even smaller and shaped to conform to the average hand.
You guys seriously need to look back at your comments and see how much of a fanboy it makes you look when you're cussing out other people just because they like a contr...
Fanboy much?
The PS3 controller truly is too small for comfort. It's fine for playing with for a few hours, but is by no means comfortable after a 10+ hour game marathon. With the Xbox controller, most of your hands bottom surface area is in good contact with the controller, it's well formed to your hand. So it's more comfortable to use for long periods.
Nobodies saying the PS3 controller is shitty, merely that the Xbox one is a bit more comfortab...
I was talking about the damage in gran tourismo.
Don't know why everyone is praising the damage in that video.. It looks freaking horrid. The low polygon count on the hood made it look like a sharp mess of polygons. Metal, nor carbon fiber bends like that. Most car metals are a lot more rigid and would have much smoother bends in them from an impact, with much less overall bends. And as for carbon fiber, it would just snap and break.
Perhaps it's just because the engine isn't being given enough polygons to work ...
Sigh...
Let's make something clear:
Theft is the act of stealing something from someone. Committing an act that robs a person of something.
When you pirate something, nobody else knows you did this, because you have not taken any money or anything from anyone. It would be the same as having one of those replicators from Star Trek replicate you a designer handbag. Is it the same handbag physically? Yes. But was it taken from anyone, or made the sto...
After the SNES? I'd say N64 was fairly hardcore for the time too. Especially with games like Conquers Bad Fur Day and GoldenEye.
Windows doesn't have Photoshop and the rest of the Adobe suite for you to do graphic design with? Very interesting. And it doesn't have Ableton, Reason, FruityLoops, etc..? Oh, that is quite interesting also.. <_<.
1366 isn't end of life, only 1156. 1366 has to be kept alive for and enterprise/high-end.
As for RAM, you wouldn't HAVE to buy new ram. If you can still buy the same brand, speed/latency RAM, all you would need is to buy an extra stick. Unless you got very unlucky and there was some change in production of those sticks that causes it to not work well with your existing ones. But this is unlikely.
Meh, Sandy Bridge isn't really worth waiting for.
1.) It wastes valuable space by trying to integrate what Intel thinks is a good enough GPU. Also causing an increase in temps.
2.) This time they won't be making any high-end versions that don't have the GPU integrated. (At least that's what the roadmaps show, and Intel hasn't announced any non-GPU integrated ones.) So you are forced to use these waste of space CPU's if you want at leas...
Mass Effect 2 is originally a PC/360 game, so that can't really go in your list :) Especially now that it's coming to the PS3.
We we're talking about the EyeToy biggest, not the PSEye. And I'm far from ignorant to the subject. Technology is one of my most passionate subjects, I study all new gaming tech & tech in general that comes out very closely. It's like a hobby.
And again, a low FPS isn't the reason for Kinect's delay. It's the massive amount of computing that needs to be done to track your body parts accurately and deal with 2 different image feeds. Microsoft needs ...
@btk:
Lower FPS? Lower Res? What the hell are you smoking?
The Eyetoy is not physically capable of doing the type of tracking Kinect does. Nor can any system that only uses an RGB camera (i.e: PSEye). Because with the information you're getting from an RGB camera, you can only use software to guess somethings depth, if it's a part of a person, and what it is. Where as when you pair an monochrome infrared sensor, you get an second image set that is pur...
Raiinstorm81:
No, because this is a cheap single RGB camera solution, just like the EyeToy is. Kinect has an extra camera for infrared light capture and thus depth sensing. Along with an IR emitter to keep IR levels good.
No, it's not. The most Sony can do is create white/black lists for software and employ some sort of network based monitoring. You cannot patch a key that is used for every piece of software and game on the PS3.
