PS4 really is the cream of the crop for console gaming this gen. It seems the devs really are going out their way to push the consoles power. This could be a huge problem for Xbox One because over time the differences will become more noticeable and the gap in power will be more pronounced. Right now people aren't really seeing it because of rushed launch games. For example just look at AC4 for PS4, they clearly could have done much better. You can barely tell it apart from the PS3 versio...

They would but Microsoft pays them not too.

Xbox fans seem to always think it's only Sony fans pounding away, but that's because their looking for something to point the finger at. The truth is everyone is saying that except of the Xbox faithfuls. PlayStation fans, PC fans, Nintendo fans, even former Xbox 360 fans. It's not just PlayStation fans.

One thing I think would be interesting is if Nintendo made their own mobile device. Something like a Nintendo DS with a cellular service. This way they don't have to change the way they make games, but can also appeal to a wider audience. Maybe they could partner up with T Mobile or Verizon, etc. So it would actually be a combo portable console/ smart phone. Something like that would be an instant hit and would also draw in more developers and casual gamers. Just an idea though.

I think anyone that considers themselves as real gamers are seriously socially deprived individuals. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with being a gamer, but there's been times I've been on forums and read comments about people criticizing others about being real gamers and it always sounds silly. The truth is anyone that plays video games of any capacity can be considered a real gamer. No matter if it's console, mobile, PC, portable, etc. you like whatever you lik...

Seems like the Media is all over Nintendo these days. It doesnt make sense because they just recently had the one of the greatest selling consoles of all time, and the greatest selling portables of all time. The 3DS is doing great, and while Wii U started out slow, it's been doing fine lately for the past few months. Nintendos situation is no where near as bad as the media makes it sound.

Nintendo will be alright, Im sure they'll bounce back. Hopefully they are learning from this and judging from the way they speak publicly of the issue they may be seeing the error in their ways with the Wii U. Not sure if its too late or not to turn around the fortunes of Wii U but their is still hope for their next console, and thankfully the 3DS is keeping them firmly in the fight.

I really cant be too mad at Microsoft for this. They have a ll that money might as well put it to good use. Im no fan of the company or their policies but this is one of those things where their really just playing to their strengths. That strength just so happens to be money.

I honestly believe much of the wii U's recent success is due to the Xbox One's price. Compared to Xbox One's $500 and Wii U's $200-300 and the games they have out now is a much better bargain in my opinion. Especially in the holiday season as a gift.

One thing I've come to understand about Microsoft regarding their Xbox One is I'll believe it when I see it. Whenever they say anything it's best taken with a grain of salt. As far as I can tell with Xbox one they have just been selling people a dream. They say things hastily so they can be the 1st to have bragging rights or make it sound like somethings right around the corner but in truth still be in the prototype phase, as with the cloud. they've been yapping about "th...

I think Sony would have something to say about running PS3 games, and nintendo should about DS. Sounds like infringement to me unless a side deal has been made.

I think one of the biggest issues with the Steam machine is the controller. I see what they tried to do by making the buttons touch enabled for moving and camera viewing similar to the controls of a Mouse, and 4 bottons to similate the keys used on a keyboard. their basically trying to combine the Mouse and keyboard experience in a controller format. The thing I have a hard time seeing is who does this appeal to? If your into PC gaming then obviously your very comfortable with the traditional...

I'll never forget in the very 1st Tomb Raider for PS1 when that big T rex came out of no where it scared the hell out of me. I even remember having a Jurasic Park game on Sega Cd and to me that was the scariest Dinosaur game ever made, One wrong turn and you were food for the Raptors. I never could understand why there aren't more Dinosaur games out. There's is so much untapped potential for the taking. looking back at it it's almost hard to believe that those giant creatures ...

I don't think Sony lost it, rather I think they just fell behind the technology curve starting in the PS3 era and had too much riding on their new format bluray which proved to be a very expensive endeaver. Then almost out of nowhere the whole "Smart" movement tookover. No one ever saw Smartphones, tablets, and the mobile space in general making such a strong push. In a lot of ways you can say that Apple single handily changed everything. This even spreaded out to the TV market ...

People have to realize that this service is not going to be perfect. Even other streaming applications that run movies and TV shows aren't perfect like Hulu, Netflix, youtube, etc. they aren't perfect simply because the internet isn't perfect. The fact that Sony has taken the 1st step in serious video game streaming is a miracle all in itself, but people should not expect it to be perfected for atleast a couple years.

I think more so than specs and the actual console itself, the price, features, and services are what makes it future proof. With features like a touch pad, motion controls, voice commands, remote play, and sharing functions. Also with cloud services like PlayStation Now and their new PS TV service that really don't have much to do with PS4 depending on how you look at it, their much better prepared for all the changes in the industry this time. You can even throw the Vita in that category...
