Yea, I was highly confused by it, instantly went to My Account to see what was up, but alas, nothing. Oh well, maybe Bioware will be even kinder, lol, and make the beta open? Wouldn't that be awesome?
I believe you are experiencing a PEBKAC error. If you downloaded the file, it should work, even more so if you tried it twice. I do agree Origin sucks, but myself and thousands and thousands of people haven't had an issue with downloading. How about posting on the forums about your issue instead of cancelling your preorder?
But, why spend two weeks beta testing when your Quality Assurance guys can do all of that? *wink, wink* I mean, after all, they are teh best at IW/Treyarch.
The beta trend for CoD will remain the same. Take it as you will.
As for Battlefield 3, I have been having a blast, and to me, this article was terribly written and terribly thought out.
Well, no, I do have 3 Guitar Hero guitars, and the rest of what I own is Rock Band (drums, mics, whatever). Although, I am confused as to why I got a disagree vote, it was a joke implied towards owning 100 peripherals and having nothing new to use them on... oh well, someone must have just been bitter that day.... unless it is you ATi_Elite, then, we shall have to fight.
Does it use one of the 10 guitars/drums/microphones that I have? No?
Should post the Kotaku link instead, you know, where the video originated. These guys have the tendencies to steal articles without giving due credit.

There, I added an agree to even it out.
People buy CoD because Activision has people brainwashed into thinking it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. When in reality, it is a poor single player experience and a massive multiplayer DLC "upgrade". I know several people who won't even TRY anything else simply because it has to be CoD this and CoD that, and even then, they complain about CoD's issues more than I do, which is quite sad. The one thing that holds CoD together is the pick up and go aspect, mainly wi...
@Bull5hifT
Ghost was a main character who was a part of the SAS in MW2. He is the "Guy with the skull mask."
Split screen = easy to add. Split screen LAN (aka System Link) = impossible. Why isn't split screen LAN enabled? I would like to play 4v4 with my friends on two Xboxes or PS3s, but nooooooo, I have to own 8 consoles and 8 copies of the game to make that work. So fucking stupid, Halo can do it, why can't the GREAT Call of Duty?
End of rant.
It's ok, using the logic of this article, every item in existence is a sign of extinction. Come 2012, all items will be cheap and the world would end.
Can't stand articles like this. "Let's write something stupid so we can get lots of hits on our site."
Oh yea, I don't disagree that what they did was wrong. They shouldn't have done it. But in retrospect, maybe they should have included the $50 on day one, even if they still took the code out. I don't think many people would be complaining then, lol.
Well, to be fair, they are giving customers a $50 gift card for anything in Gamestop, so you could use that to buy a whole "new" game. Although I feel Gamestop was morally wrong in the matter, I think having a $50 gift card is better than a code for OnLive. OnLive is dependent entirely on your internet connection, so, in a sense, if you have a bad internet connection, it is useless to even redeem it. I guess you could give the code to a friend, but having tried OnLive myself, I woul...
I disagree.
Maybe it's just me, but I got a small glimpse at Hope, and he looks older, or at least, more matured, he may actually be a pretty neat character.
^^ What he said.
You also have to remember that those are being developed only on the PS3. As opposed to most multiplatforms being developed on the X360 then ported to the PS3. The devs don't want to take the extra time to try to utilize the PS3's components to the benefit.
Unfortunately, preordering does not guarantee you a beta invite. Only early access, which generally takes place 1-2 weeks before launch.
The developer said he was disappointed with BC2, not BF3. http://www.computerandvideo...
As far as the actual topic goes, I am loving the BF3 beta on the PC, yea, it has its bugs, but I believe this isn't fully the current build of the game. I believe many of the issues we have are already ironed out and ready for launch. And one other point, ...
