Yea, go for it. I was interested in the concept behind it and the many things it offers, but ultimately it wasn't for me, maybe it will be for you, who knows?
I personally did not care too much for it. Played a little on Wednesday. Not saying it is bad, but it wasn't for me. The story was pretty meh, not terrible or great, but the combat really felt off to me. I don't know, I just don't see myself paying for another MMO.
Yea, on second thought, so would I. But all in all, it being on Steam is best, no complaints coming from me on that one.
One can assume that, yea. I sure as hell hope so. Rockstar is trying to keep their games in their hands (for the most part), let's hope it stays that way.
Unfortunately I was expecting some hook in there like "but instead it's on Origin!" which would have been really, really bad. Then I remembered it is going to be on Steam and be free of that type of crap. Looking forward to getting this one on the PC as well. :D
Oh, well, fair enough. Still though, you are running a gtx680, you should be grabbing roughly 60fps or higher on every game that is currently out. Blizzard is known for making their games accessible, so that they can get as many people playing it as possible, and if that means reaching out to those who have 7 year old computers, then so be it. They are successful for things like that, which also re-enforces what fluffydelusions said below: "Gameplay over graphics my friend." - The g...
I hope you realize the beta was extremely buggy when it game to hardware performance, Blizzard said this themselves. QA Testers in the forums even said their computers struggled even with some of the best and worst cards on the market. I have a i7-920 with a gtx570 and at times I came down to a crawl, but then when it caught up, it ran just fine. I'm fairly positive the release version will have virtually no issues whatsoever.
Only reason I would pick up Ivy Bridge is if I also pick up a PCI-E 3.0 motherboard, with one of the new GTX 600 cards that supports 3.0. Other than that, I do agree to just wait on Ivy Bridge and see what Haswell can offer us.
Yea, is it considered an issue that I don't have $60 to pre-purchase for beta access? Oh well, shit happens, still gonna buy it anyways (just not now).
In other words, the few people I know that are in it are saying they aren't having too many issues, but yea, it is a beta and it will be buggy, so its understandable. Most are just happy to finally play it.
It was a beta designed for stress testing, I don't see why so many people were mad they didn't get to play much of it. Servers being down, or only allowing a small amount of people in was part of the test, anyone who visited the forums would have seen Blizzard's explanations of it. Oh well, I cannot wait to get my hands on it in 22 days.
Nostalgia? You'd be surprised the amount of people that sold their original Playstation for whatever reason, and now want one back, again, for nostalgia's sake.
Nope, but it will play PS1 games like a champ.
I would love for the fanboy wars to end as well, but that could only happen under a merging of all three consoles or people grow up, which neither sound like will happen anytime soon, unfortunately.
Cut him some slack, he just wants some website hits. :P
Bitmob, home of articles aimed to bash Sony for website hits. Please take note of the "The Playstation brand needs to die" article that has graced N4G the past few days.
"The PlayStation brand needs to die" - that's a typo, I think the author meant: "My Website Needs Hits"
The glitch: funny.
Their laughing: obnoxious.
The fact he can't hold a camera straight: annoying.
I will start calling those two Shaun and Jason.
I have come to not trust GameStop employees over the years, and since Blizzard said that they would let everyone know at the same time via Press Release, why should this guy be correct?
I fully agree with you on this. I feel many people overly expect something and then when it doesn't meet up to their hype, then they feel cheated. I personally loved Mass Effect 3, and yes, maybe it is because I am easily pleased. Or maybe it is because I didn't really "care" about it until about 2 hours before it came out when I put in my Origin preorder.
I didn't hype it up, I wanted it because of the story and to be honest, I felt it ended as it shou...
Apparently someone disagreed with you and thinks GFWL is amazing. You are right though, it is garbage, and the fact we are forced to use it for some games doesn't help. If Microsoft had given it half the support they currently give XBL, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
A clunky interface, slow response, having to restart several times... all of these contribute to its failure. Hell, Microsoft could unite PC and Xbox users with cross-platform play with their exclusives if ...
