The 360 did not mop anything. The PS3 had a stronger WW Launch than the 360, it had a stronger WW first year than the 360, with almost 11 million units sold, vs the 360s ~9.5 million during its first year, and the PS3 outsold the 360 in total end of gen sales by a bit over 3 million. Because calling it Sony Play-Station would confuse people, and it was a collabed prototype with assistance from Nintendo. For the sake of differentiating it, it makes more sense to call it a Nintendo Play-Station.

Odd. I was under the impression that they had upgraded the visuals since the 2015 reveal, but these new images look like garbage in comparison. The textural detail has been completely neutered, they are very blurry, and the overall image is slightly washed out. Metallic objects look like plastic now.
Hopefully they port it to the PS5 and restore the original visual quality.

To be fair, the FF VIII remaster is more of a straight port. They didn't even fix the aspect ratio. Playing the PC version i couldn't even really tell the difference between it and the original.

At this point, they have gone far beyond what they owed anyone. If they intended to just pay back what they owed based on pre-release promises, the updates would have stopped after "Next".
Abyss, Visions, Beyond, & Synthesis are all above what they ever promised, and they have recently stated they are still working on more major updates.
I understand being pissed off for the initial launch BS, but give credit where it is due.
