GameFlow sounds like the kind of dynamic function that other games in different genres could put to good use.

I like the art direction of it with the exception of the enemies. I've had enough run-down, open-jaw, post-apocalyptic ne'er-do-wells sprinting at me wielding a crude club in murderous rage, and I'm certainly not looking for any more of that.
Yeah, that's kind of a bummer that it's action-based.

VII is the only one that controls that way. It's really silly that the controls are so jerky, but that's just another reason why FFVII is overrated (and, if anything, a point FOR a remake, but I am still opposed). VIII and IX should have fully-analog movement.
Oh, and I didn't go back and play them to see, but the cases for VIII and IX say "analog control supported", so, yeah.
The graphics in VI were way better than VII.
