it's because GT5(P) is an exclusive. GRID is just another run of the mill arcade racer. I think both Burnout paradise and definitely PGR4 are better looking and playing games. For me PGR4 (and 3) was the most fun I ever had with a racer on the 360. The sad part is nobody was really playing it online like they did with 2 and even 3. It's ashame too because 4 was excellent.

I enjoyed the single player but I didn't get into the story all that much but I did get into the interaction between the main characters. The single player campaign was sweet. I played through it at least a dozen times. So I am not too concerned about the single player aspects.
Online Gears had some issues that ultimately had me look elsewhere to get my frag on. Epic patched the game a few times but the cheaters always found a way around...
and I usually buy both versions of games. This time I am going with the PS3 version because I am addicted to playing racers on wheels instead of using a controller.
Both versions of this game are more identical then probably any other multiplatofrm game I have compared this gen. The only differences I noticed is in color (a very slight difference and neither is better over the other but just different) and sound.
have you played both versions side by side and judge them for yourself? I have and you can't tell the difference between them. I played both demos for a couple hours each and sometimes I was forgetting which version I was playing until I squeezed the controller.

The last several multiplatform games I picked up both versions but this time I am only getting it for the PS3. Why? My Logitech G25 wheel works on the PS3 and it doesn't on the 360.
I will never play a racing game without a wheel again. I really wish MS would loosen the leash and let us use perps like this on the 360.

and I have no problems at all with GTA IV. I have a bunch of friends that have the launch 60g and none of them are having problems of any kind.
It almost sounds like Sony and R* are both baffled. Hopefully the firmware update will do the trick and not cause more problems with systems that didn't have any in the first place.

but there is no denying the graphics are great. I myself am a huge fan of adventure platform games but I never could get into Banjo on the N64. I guess Mario 64 did to Banjo (for me) what COD4 does to most other shooters (for me). They pail in comparison.
But this new Banjo does have my interest peaked.

so I gather you are being totally honest in your opinion and I too sometimes wonder about the PS3 capabilities when it comes to textures but I think it's more of a development issues learning to use the PS3 architecture as opposed to the systems capabilities. It is known that the PS3 does not have an exceptional graphics card but then again Sony wants devs to utilize the Cell for graphics.
The games you mentioned (R&C and Uncharted) have amazing visuals and really good text...

I am a HUGE action adventure platform fan. I own both consoles and I purchase games based on games and not the system they are on. I played Banjo on the N64 and it did nothing for me. I barely have any interest in it for the 360 but I am keeping an eye on it just incase. Then again why get into it when it might be years before we see a sequel?

How about adding refs to the field? It is like playing a racing game with no driver in the car having no refs on the field. I still don't see any in these shots.
