It seems like some people are just blowing this up for no reason. It's a free to play game anyway, so if you don't like it don't play it, and even if you don't care it's free anyway.

Hopefully, this will create a precedent for exactly what is expected in terms of someone's image being used in a video game so that it doesn't come up again. QD may have thought they had carte blanche to do whatever they wanted because she had agreed to their using her image, but we don't know for sure. I guess we'll find out if this goes to trial.

Since the image is from the game, is the body depicted Ellen Page's or is it Jodie's? As far as we know, it was only Ellen Page's face that was motion captured for use in the game, not her body, so the body isn't hers.

Is it creepy that QD makes nude models that are anatomically correct? Yes, in my opinion, but they chose to make their characters that way and Ellen Page is responsible to know that information and ask if she has any concerns. I doubt that she w...

If I buy a new console this holiday season, it will probably be the PS Vita. If I get a new home console later on, it will probably be the PS4, but I'm not too excited about paying to play online.

This game looks interesting, but I wonder why there are so many tactical RPGs being released this gen in comparison to turn-based RPGs. I actually bought the Atelier games on PS3 just because they are turn-based games, but I'd like to have seen more titles come out this gen.

This sounds great coming from a Japanese developer. I wonder how he plans to challenge the PS4 though. Will he try to make the game look better, make it larger, or attempt to do both?

I've never understood why Adam Sessler is held in any regard. I had never heard of him until G4 was on its deathbed and even then I didn't see what the fuss was about him or the channel itself. He doesn't provide anything special to the games industry, he isn't a necessary player in the creation of games, his opinion means no more or no less than anyone else's, and if he does make money by reviewing games then he should have money to spend on a PS4. If his job depends on h...

No one complained about the character models in Heavy Rain, even though they were modeled on real actors too. I understand why Ellen Page would be upset, but she knows that it isn't her real body. The other actors from Heavy Rain probably didn't appreciate their nude avatars popping up either, but they didn't react the same way as Ellen Page.

Her case for a lawsuit ultimately depends on the terms of her contract and legal interpretations of it, but I wasn't to...

I'm disappointed to see so many old games listed. HD remakes are fine, but why not something new? It's bad enough developers are too afraid to innovate, but lists like these seem to validate their fears. I'd like to see a new Final Fantasy that takes the good qualities of the old games and builds upon them in gameplay and utilizes the new technology for graphics as well, not a game I've already played only prettier.

Innovation will lead to the success of the X...

It's nothing new, but I wish localization just meant translating the game. When I played Raw Danger for the PS2 I thought it was an odd, yet fun game, and apparently the localization of that game required giving everyone blonde hair so that Americans could relate to the characters more. So I guess the localization of Mugen Souls Z by NISA could be worse.

Why not just hook up your NES and play it? I've already beat the game multiple times since 1990 though, so why bother?

I think gaming started to become mainstream in the PS2/GC/Xbox era. While this gen has been pretty lackluster compared to the incredible variety of that gen, there have been some hidden gems coming out that I really enjoyed. Valkyria Chronicles, Red Dead Redemption, the Yakuza series, and the Tales of games prevented this gen from becoming too stagnant for me, but I still would have liked to see more variety.

I found myself ignoring sports games and shooters for the most part...

Capcom should take a look at their past works and bring something back that they think would work. I think that having a tough time finding success might be good for them, as it may bring back the need for more creativity. Necessity is the mother of invention.

If Capcom goes bankrupt, I think they will be bought up by another company. Their IPs are valuable, even if they don't seem to think so judging by their actions. The company that buys them might even continue to use the Capcom name, so I wouldn't be afraid of them fading away, at least name-wise.

Capcom still has some life left in them though, and depending on their actions, they may remain independent and dig themselves back out of the hole they've dug for themse...

I haven't bought one copy of any Call of Duty game during this gen or any other, and these commercials are doing nothing to influence me to change that decision.

Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey

Why you forgot about them: Because they came out exclusively for the Xbox 360.

Those are the kinds of games that would have been lauded on the PS3 early this gen, but because they were 360 exclusives, they didn't get much attention.

I think Nintendo could do a great job making their own sports games. The sports games that they made for the NES were great and they still hold up even today. They could really bring EA down a peg if they made fun, accessible sports games that the whole family could enjoy. Imagine using the Wii U pad to pick your plays in a football game so the other player doesn't see what you're picking. There are a lot of possibilities.

I think the concept of where Final Fantasy has gone in terms of how development has changed is similar to other entertainment industries. The term "starving artist" might not apply to some musicians today as much as it did to artists like The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. They paid their dues and became successful through hard work.

The old guard at SE has moved on, and the new guys might not know the struggles that the company has been through before, and why the ...

The only HD Edition of a game I bought this gen was the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collection, and only because I didn't buy them on the PS2.

I still have all of my PS2 games and a PS2 to play them on if I want, and they still look pretty good, since I use component cables with my PS2.

Removing BC was a negative for me too, but I understand why Sony did it. Hopefully, they will have some sort of free service to stream PS3 games if you already have the dis...

The only point you mentioned that I disagree with is the first. PC games look as good as they do because of the modding community. Skyrim on PC looks a lot better than on consoles only after you've modded it and are running it on a high end PC. PC games can look good, but they still have to be able to run on minimum specs, which will probably make the game look equal to, or even worse than their console counterparts.

Oh, and there's also the issue of updating drivers,...
