Technically they could 'go gold' and produce physical media which just contains licence keys, and prompt a download of the game files at launch. I don't see why they would bundle 2 discs if the day 1 patch is so big anyway. It's kind of a Rockstar tradition for me now; pick up the game at midnight then drink beer for two hours waiting for everything to install

Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing...

Ah right; did you try it when you finished the campaign? I'm gonna boot it up tonight and check again (would love it to be true, but could just be an urban legend propagated by the fan community).

Was just thinking about this game the other night; one of the best open world experiences I've played (and finished!) in the last few years.

I keep meaning to back and check out the 'endless' mode i heard about: you basically drive off the map and explore a procedurally generated expanse where you forage for supplies and take on other raiders - a true Mad Max experience.

I love the idea of this and the spirit behind the endeavor.

However, given Nintendo's recent form I think the developers could find themselves in hot water.

This story was originally published by a tabloid newspaper in the UK - they have form for this kind of sensationalism.

Read this short twitter story for further context:

I'd much prefer a right joycon that had the analog stick above the action buttons to stop my thumb cramping up.

Exactly the same for me; was playing last night and my launch day PS4 was the loudest I've ever heard it.

Worried me a little; last game that did that was Unfinished Swan which killed my PS3 (r.i.p. little buddy)

Loving the new update though - feels like a brand new game.

Shame; these sites host content that can be very difficult for genuine fans and enthusiasts to get hold of.

I understand Nintendo's overzealous nature when protecting its IPs, but come on, most of these titles have been out-of-print for decades - even if they released them on Virtual Console (which they probably won't) the revenue streams would be inconsequential compared to what Nintendo earns with its current gen platforms (and certainly much less than the legal b...

The cynic in me sees this as a blatant cash grab - we're paying a premium for the Nintendo branding.

Looks promising; I'm surprised we haven't had an official announcement regarding an N64 Classic Mini yet.

I own pretty much every portable platform from the last 30 years, but my current favorite is the Gameboy Advance SP (AGS-101 backlit screen).

Decent examples can be found quite cheaply. It's small and light with a great form factor (I love the clamshell design) and when partnered with a EZ-FlashIV cart you have access to a huge library of amazing games, including original DMG and Colour titles.

Insane battery life and zero load times means it's al...

Strange that they haven't announced what's next in the classic line-up.

Are they going to follow up with an N64 Mini or a Gameboy Mini?

As someone who owns a lot of handhelds, from the original Dot-Matrix Gameboy through to the Switch, I have to say the SP (AGS-101) is my favourite portable console. Awesome library of games and backwards compatible.

Currently playing through Golden Sun (fantastic little RPG) in tandem with Mother 2 (Earthbound).

I currently have four SPs (found at yard sales, charity shops, etc) - I love rescuing them, refurbing and re-shelling them with aftermarket cases...

Never heard of H-Hour - thanks for putting it on my radar.

Back in 2002 the original SOCOM prompted me to get a PS2 modem and a broadband subscription because the multiplayer was so gripping.

Would love some of the original Zipper Interactive IPs to come to PSVR - SOCOM and MAG would be so much fun.

How about just give players the choice (Like Mass Effect, etc) instead of making it an issue.

Vita was let down by Sony; pretty much no support in terms of first party titles. If they didn't care, why should other developers.

Vita deserved a Monster Hunter title, or maybe a really tight FPS shooter - mechanically, it's a fantastic little machine: dual analog sticks, dual touch, great OLED screen. Imagine what this console could have been capable of. Sadly it's potential will never be realised.

Something to encourage people to carry th...
