Your concern is legitimate, but since it's another product, it won't magically have the same problems, it may have fewer problems, it may have more problems. One cannot know until time deals its hand.

If you've ever played this game, you'd know that it already has more playable content than most other full games. So..... I'm still not convinced of what you say. By the by, lay off the ad hominem, it makes you sound childish.
if you're a console only gamer. Since I'm a PC gamer, from my point of view that's simply not true. With Nintendo getting more varied and exclusive content.
It's not a scam when the game is totally playable and has been playable by its backers for so long.

The problem isn't guaranteed. I also have a launch model and have had no problems, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a problem in production. The failure rate is too high.
