Clearly you misunderstand "first." "First" means first and foremost in this context. A black screen. Well done. Clearly you don't know that a black screen will just run at the highest frame rate available on a video card.
Anyway, FPS is much more important than pushing visuals. Uncharted 3 looked amazing. Anything better than that is just icing on the cake.
I really wish they'd give the player the option for a lower resolution and fps. That'd be really awesome. All games should shoot for 60fps. The bit they said about it taking longer to optimiize for that framerate is bollocks. They should spend the time to get it done at that framerate.
Still this is shaping up to be an awesome experience.
Actually, I think he/she can use that gaming laptop argument, because Sony and Microsoft and its fans are the ones claiming their product are even close to even a mid range gaming PC. Nintendo has no delusions of grandeur.
While I may agree that different isn't always better, I would say that playing the same things in the same way over and over again is just plain boring.
Rather than fight new and innovative ideas, try experiencing it first. Though, it...
There was nothing natural about the dpad or shoulder buttons. It was truly out of the box thinking. Anyway, most people make up their mind about Nintendo hardware, long before they actually try any of their products. It's hive mind mentality. It's popular to hate them, and countless people who call themselves gamers childishly and blindly follow suit like sheep following their shepherd.
Hopefully they continue down the path of innovation and uniqueness.
I don't that word means what you think it means. I refer of course to, "avante guarde." Strago is right though, Nintendo is the only avante guarde company. They just need to realize that it's okay to make an expensive product if it means better performance.
No. Sony tried to cash in on motion controls and failed. Nintendo tried to do something different combining aspects of two different things and failed.
Shelf space is also an issue.
Waist of money for most PC gamers. It's like asking a PS4 gamer to buy a Xbone. Exclusives alone are not enough to sell a console unless that console is a Nintendo one.
It's still a good system. But yeah, for us PC gamers, the Wii U is by faaaaaaaar the best!
Actually, it's a lot more hardcore than most other consoles' games.
The last of us is indeed great! But it's an okay game that's an amazing film. Great story and atmosphere; decent game. Now the hates will come. Don't misunderstand, I enjoyed it; however, gameplay wise, it was only okay.
@crowbait
Actually, it's not very difficult to program for. It's just different. But most developers are sooooo lazy, they just want to dump code on the Wii U. It just happens to be so efficient, that even when a code dump is performed, it doesn't take much tweaking to make the thing run. That said, 3rd party developers need to start actually writing code for the Wii U's hardware. Last gen the 360 and PS3 could run similarly looking games even though they were using va...
Keep them coming!
@r00bot
You're calling the author a fanboy, right?
stragomccloud isn't coming off like a fanboy at all. You on the other hand....
@lifeorder
Nintendo is just as much of a home to Final Fantasy as Sony. Go home fanboy.
Precisely!
Sounds good to me! I loved what Retro did with the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii~ Here's also hoping for an HD rerelease!
You know, if you actually read that info, you'd realize he's right. Off the shelf mobile parts don't automatically make something better.
The problem is that a lot of people have been lazy with the hardware. Simply dumping code onto the system with no optimization. In some cases dumping all CPU work onto one core, and yet the games still run.
Besides, why do console gamers make issues about hardware, if they really cared, then wouldn't they ...
I think the golden price will be $250. I'd pick it up in an instant at that price. I really want one too. It's just still hard to justify.
