NAh. He doesn't hate playstation, it was just that he preferred Square-Enix development under Nintendo. I don't think he ever had any negative feelings towards Sony itself. In any case, the only reason it wouldn't happen is bwecause the game was published under Microsoft. So we just need Microsoft to release or sell the rights.
Hopefully ps5 onward will be backwards compatible again so that that legacy remains. I really don't like having to rebuy games a hundred times.

What are you talking about? It was on PC for years and year and years. They only just took it off the steam store last week so they could resell it again. lol
PC is really thee real home of Square-Enix RPGs since the most officially released games are available on that platform. Food for thought. Don't let consoles barriers determine what you play. If something is a good game, you should have a go at it.

For one, no one thinks the Switch can out put at ps4 quality. For two, it actually looks great for the hardware, and the fact that it's coming is more important than anything.

They will certainly get a profit off this regardless of whether they made a good port or not. The problem is... making a bad port of a PC game means that they just shit all over their legacy and couldn't be bothered to care. Console games come and go. But once you make a game on PC, it'll be around forever.
Goldeneye would be cool, but it can't happen due to legal reasons between Microsoft, Nintnendo, and Rare.

The only reason it's not releasing on Switch is because of gaming politics. EA doesn't like Nintendo. Not since Nintendo turned down accepting EA to take over all its online services by making Origin Nintendo's official online service.

They're not doing virtual console anymore because it was bad for 3rd parties in terms of what they wanted to do with pricing. Also, it made game pricing too rigid. We'll see more classic non arcade games pop soon enough.
Now... if only we can get the first two Lufia games!
