I highly doubt Sony will come up with a better GPU or a SoC than AMD who has years of experience making this sort of thing.
Anyone that thinks the CELL could somehow be a better performer than an Nvidia or AMD GPU can look at Intel latest debacle attempting to do the same thing. Intel Larrabee ring a bell anyone?
Sony is finally doing what they MUST to stay competitive this time around. And a 3rd party GPU was a must.
Looks like castle crashers combat to me.
And I agree. Given the previous south park games I would like a demo before I buy.
Its time to make a new game, duh!
He should be proud. It was so amazing and "new" (to consoles) at the time.
You mean he is EXPANDING on what Bush did? More wars, more troops abroad, more big government spending and more social programs, and higher gas prices.
Seriously, Obama is like Bush on crack. That is assuming you are looking at what he has actually DONE and not what he SAYS.
Bush- RX Drug Plan/Obama - Universal Health Care
Bush- Patriot Act/Obama - NDAA indefinite detention bill
Bush- steady increase in gas prices/Obama - continued rise in g...
It is still a decent rig for sure. I love it when I have new people come over and they see my xbox and PS3 and they are like "Do you play BF3?" So I sure, turn on my PC and start playing. They are blown away by the difference on a higher end PC. They simply can't believe it is the same game.
I wouldn't call the 6950 an "enthusiast" card. Nice once the BIOS is flashed but not top tier. The 7000 series is the new "enthusiast" card.
All 5 of them? or was it six? Its been so long I can't remember. Can't wait. I want to play part 2 again.
Already played all the Penumbra/Amnesia games. Haven't played Siren yet. I'll give Siren a try.
Guess my hopes on a survival horror now rest on the Silent Hill and indie dev games now. :(
No, that is why they almost won. Im glad they didn't of course, but given that they are such a small country compared to what they were up against and how far they managed to expand is mind boggling.
^^ They also buy more strategy games per person as well. And lets face it- the strategy/RTS genre is not very well done or represented on consoles as of yet.
Even though the PS3 should be a RTS heaven with support for a keyboard and mouse it isn't taken advantage of properly.
1080p (at 120hz+) is already standard on my gaming rig. That is if I don't hook it up to something even higher in resolution.
I just started playing this about a week ago. I am completely addicted to it.
The only problem I run into is that in PvP too many people think the game is deathmatch instead of objective based. Too often players vote surrender just because the other team is up in champion deaths even though they have a tower advantage.
Daggerfall belongs on the list, IMO. It was truly a breakthrough at the time. The largest game world ever? Probably.
StarCraft, Command and Conquer, and Baldur's Gate would have been on my list as well.
Not that I would want to play it with a gamepad but if I did I would just use one of the many key-remapping software packages and do it anyway.
For me it depends on the type of game. I can't imagine playing Mass Effect without the story. It MAKES the game what it is.
But then one of my fave games of all time, Dark Souls, had almost zilch in the way of story and I loved it.
I'll wait till someone I trust like Hardocp.com reviews them before I make any purchasing decisions.
You can throw numbers and figures at me all day long but no one should trust those. The proof will be in the final product. Just wait out the reviews.
Battletoads is certainly deserving to be on that list from what I remember. I was only about 12 or 13 back then but DAMN that game was hard by any standard.
typically using less power in the process as well.
