One more example of how the government needs to get the hell out of the personal affairs of people and their legally obtained personal property. In a "free" country this would not be an issue.

^^ This. The online was horrible!! It really killed the game for me since I no longer live close enough to my friends to play in the same room with.
Because Frostbite 2.0 is an awesome engine. And LOTS of games from RPGs to RTS to 3rd/1st person shooters are signing on to use this engine. They must have really done something right with this engine to make it so desirable.
I'm not sure about the legal specifics but isn't the people that make Deadspace owned by EA? So why would they lease their own engine to themselves if that is the case?
I will buy the next Nintendo system if there is a new Timesplitters.
I'm way past my prime to play any "twitch" shooter worth a damn but I want to play this anyway!

I think it is interesting. Growing up in the 80s it was a common stereotype that ONLY geeks had any interest in video games or computers. Now you simply can't tell by looking at someone whether they play games or not.
I go to the gym and listen to people around me talk. The big buff bodybuilder guy is talking about playing games, the school teacher walking laps is talking about playing dance central with his daughter, the old guy doing rehab is talking about playing Wii ...
I thought Amnesia was good. But I hate gimmicks like staring/standing in the light to calm my nerves. It breaks the game up too much I think.

And like you said- way too high rez textures for either console to handle.
I think this game sounds awesome. And sharing the same universe/characters/story from the first game it makes perfect sense to call it Prey 2.
And I am glad that it is nothing like the first one. Because this one sounds way better than the first.
Its also strange given the amount of AI "co-op" that is in the game.
Laziness and greed is the only reason this game doesn't already have co-op.
Unless they pull something magical out of their hat I would say that Id Softwares days of glory are long past.
@below - No. I just feel that they are so far behind the times it would not be what it should be. I feel that Doom 4 would need to be somewhat open world like RAGE, but more "drama" since you are fighting for earth and that there would need to be something akin to the HL2 experience in order for Id to reclaim any sort of relevance in today's gaming mar...
