Am I the only person that thought Doom 3 was good?
Meh. I just requested a refund. The game is really pretty. But also boring after a few hours.
The stress is absurd. It is pretty much the only thing that makes this game "hard" so I guess it isn't that bad overall. But it is very annoying.
I'm playing with a gtx980 and I can max things past the Ultra preset (which does NOT set all settings to max when selected!) and I get a steady 45-55fps with only occasional drops to mid 30s when "loading" into a new area.
Also- in this game the "Ultra" setting still does not default all settings to max on the PC either. There are like 5 or 6 settings such as character detail, sharpening, nvidia hbao+, and such that are only set to medium or high when selecting the Ultra preset.
The Japanese have a severe negative growth rate, an aging population, a lagging economy, and the entire north part of the mainland is a radiation emitting nightmare.
They HAVE to cater to other regions. Their own region can't support them.
Actually a LOT of people can and do buy a new cellphone and video card on an annual basis. Don't assume everyone is broke or poor. Go look up the average income in Western Countries and you'd be surprised at how much the average person has to spend on "niche" items.
The only thing that makes this niche is the fact you have to wear the monstrosity. Not the pricetag.
Niche? I buy a new cellphone and new video card almost every year for that price. It is not really as "niche" as you might think. But yeah, if it was cheaper more people would adopt it of course.
They'll claim one small thing or input change is "all new".
I pretty much just want a "regular" type of console with regular controls and power on par with the other two+ Nintendo exclusive IPs. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. (I bet the new Nintendo console is virtual reality)
They must have played a very different game than I did..
4k? Only if the game has sub-par or heavily stylized graphics.
Don't expect anything with advanced graphics to be run at 4k on either console.
I bought it launch day on PC and never had any problems with it.
I skipped the last 4 CoD games after playing them at brother's house. This one though I actually like.
They're less exciting but the deals are the same. They just list them at the lowest price for the entire length of the sale instead of making us refresh every 4 hours.
Loved this game back in the day.
The Alpha 2.0 is great if you're interested in trying it out. It has a planet, 3 moons, 2 moons have stations, a bunch of refueling stations, and asteroid belt, and a lot of other things to do. Including being a pirate, boarding ships/stations, and taking on other people in FPS combat.
It is MUCH bigger.
Cliffy was just saying what he had to say since he was in a huge deal with MS and the X1. SELLOUT!
Now he wants the PC gamers money and will say anything he has to get that money.
Yes. Just a lot prettier to look at it.
