I'm still excited for it. But then again I am playing it on the PC.
If all I had was a PS3 or 360 to play it on I would probably give it a pass though. It really doesn't feel that great or look that great on the consoles. Just something seems "off" judging by the beta on the consoles.

^^ Yeah, even for a console game now that I have played it on my PC/PS3 I can say that it is FUGLY compared to other FPS games on the consoles.
But the gameplay is there and it is good. And to me that is always the most important part. But looking good is always nice too.
Something about being blinded by a flashlight in broad daylight from 20ft away just doesn't seem right to me.
Knifing DOES need fixed. I rarely works even if the enemy is sitting still and doesn't know you are behind them more than half the time.
Not sure about the sprinting thing. They don't seem to run that fast to me. At least not to the point where it seems like it overpowered.

The boss fights were not the highlight of the game for me either. But I didn't care so much about it that I felt it was a game breaker.
Yeah, those sony headsets are pretty decent for the money. They say 7.1 but it is really just simulated. It is only stereo. But that shouldn't keep people from buying them. Every headset that advertises anything over stereo is really just simulated.

I have a PS3 and an Xbox360. I have always preferred my xbox over my PS3.
However when it comes to 3D gaming and media abilities I prefer the PS3 over the 360. But for general gaming and the like I prefer the 360.
And like you, I think anyone that owns both and says they prefer the PS3 online is a fanboy. Because the PS3 online does not even come close to what the xbox offers.
^^ I think it has to do more with the fact the Xbox has a more vocal community. That sorta thing is bound to happen since it is the only console that comes with a mic and cross chat/private chat.

I'm not sure what the fuss is all about. I'm pretty impressed with the console screens I have been seeing. Also the character animations are really solid.
Of course it isn't going to be on par with the PC. The consoles have not been on par with the PC since they launched 5 years ago. Why in the world would you think they would be on par now?!

^^ Yeah man, this is a really tough call and it all comes down to the game itself. Some games are great because they are not anything close to realistic. Others are great because they are close to realistic but not so close that they are still fun.
Tough call. In the end I would say I've had more fun with games that were not realistic though.
