I think Co-op could easily be fun. But I agree. The MMO thought is a turn off.
DOOM/FALLOUT. You read it here first.
Its like the first Command and Conquer. Limited expansions, no general/commander powers, no unit veterancy, large units can't run over small units (some goo attacks by sitting on top of other units) and lacking so many things that even a decade old RTS has.
What is there is good. But there just isn't much there.
I thought minecraft was boring. But I played the hell out of Terraria back a couple years ago.
No, he's right. They're basically gaming laptops in terms of power and abilities. Which is a good thing because gaming laptops are actually pretty damn nice.
No.. because a controller and internet are required to play on the consoles as well. And you can get a keyboard and mouse for much less than the cost of a (new) controller.
I'd play a co-op enabled version of Fallout.
But an MMO? Not so sure about that one. Unless it was full on PvP. Then I might think about it.
Having the same classes does not=same gameplay. Dark souls has casters, tanks, and rogue builds. But it isn't the same style of gameplay.
The fact that the gameplay is so different from Origins is exactly why part 2 failed so horribly.
And don't take it from me. It was Bioware themselves that said that part 1 was a spiritual successor to Baldurs Gate while part 2 and the newest are not.
No, DA:O has Baldurs Gate style gameplay.
Bioware themselves said that DA:O was made, intentionally, as a spiritual successor to Baldurs Gate.
This is the exact same way you fast traveled in Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide. Surprised no one thought to check the walls for posters or maps..
Without the stats the skill build tree is a glorified version of Borderlands "leveling". Actually, it isn't even glorified. It IS the same thing.
Yes, the depth of the RPG elements in character development are the exact same as in Borderlands. Skill tree and better loot. So yeah, DA:I has the same system as in Borderlands. New Loot+very limited skill tree set-stats=Borderlands/DA:I.
That might help put things into perspective.
I beat the first Dragon Age and loved it start to finish.
However DA:I.. I can't force myself to keep playing. It is so damn boring. Its got MMO combat in a single player game. I'll pass. Not to mention the "leveling" (basically getting to pick a new perk) is so dumbed down it isn't funny. No stat builds or anything like that.
Give me Witcher 3 please. DA:I was a bust.
I agree. Not saying this reviewer should like the game. But most people I know like it.
It is happening to me and I have a GTX980. Hopefully they fix it!
Please stop posting. You clearly have NO CLUE what it is you are talking about.
I can play this game at 3k and my rig cost me about $1.8k. My rig didn't need to cost so much but I sprung a lot extra for the Level-10gt case as well as 500gig SSD. So far the GTX980 has been good to me.
Near to the price of the PS4/Xbox1 you can build a PC that does more than either console could, yes. But it wouldn't be that future proof. The Nvidia 960, cheap phenom series CPU, and 8-16gigs of RAM+run of the mill motherboard you could easily get for ~$500.
But if you're going budget then you might as well go with a console in the first place. Unless you just need a PC for more practical purposes than gaming. Or you want to play the numerous cheap/free to play game...
This game looks good on both consoles, as well as on PC. Even on low settings on PC this game looks better than most that have come out in the past couple years.
Gaming rigs capable of playing current video games does not equal "billions" of PCs. That would be like saying Nintendo has a billion units in peoples hands because you're counting the NES/SNES/GB/GBA/DS/3DS/Gamecub e/Wii/WiiU.
And in the end it doesn't matter. The spread on income is the same and projected by all analysts to overtake consoles in short order. EA themselves have said that the PC is the future of gaming.
If Left 4 Dead wasn't cheaper than a full price game when they came out I would have felt the same way about the "fun" of the game wearing off way too soon. I guess the guys did the same thing here only made the mistake of charging full price and outrageous amount of DLC.
I haven't played the game. But I'd like to hear from you guys who actually bought it and what you think of it.
