Honestly guys, you have to know that both are going to be great.

I absolutely dislike that they got rid of the first party talent for the steady stream of exclusives like my ps3, recently ylod =( btw, but I disagree that they have abandoned the hardcore. Besides Sony's first party studios, the market itself is dry on hardcore games and I blame this on some risks that we did not support enough (Mirror's Edge, DJ Hero etc), the mobile phone market is said to already make more profit than all of Sony, MS, and Nintendo comb...
I am a core gamer and for my kind of games, I don't want Kinect unless it is really useful. My family is a different story; they now get involved in gaming with Kinectimals, Zumba, Dance Revolution etc My wife now has gaming nights with her friends...who would have thought?

I am not foolish enough to think that any major corporation is not out to make more money, but I think Microsoft MIGHT be learning that to make the most money, you have to keep your community happy. As a xbox 360 owner at launch time (then sold after not liking being nickeled and dimed for everything) and again with the slim model, I think they are learning. Besides ion rechargeable batteries built-in, the slim model is a value added console, that I really enjoy.
I think if they can really backup the "Gamestaq guarantee" and not just help people offload scratched games, then I am all aboard!
Kinect is cool. Maybe not for the hardcore games like Gears of War, but my family and I have a great time with our Kinect. My PS3 recently died after 4 years of loving use, but honestly, my Move just sat there waiting for someone to actually make a game that was useful.

I have to disagree alittle with you buddy.
I believe it is all about how the game impacts you. I mean, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time impacted me in a huge way as a gamer and will continue to play it regardless of it's horrible (to today's standards) graphics. But on a side note, I am very excited about the 3DS remake =)
The article says it will not be priced as high as the failed PSPgp, which was priced at 249.99. From this, am I to believe it will be less?

Sucks to have to choose, I will be buying both. I love Nintendo, I love Sony and I love working hard and playing hard. I look forward to the Ocarina of Time remake and I look forward to what the Sony's dream handheld can really do. All except that back touch pad, how much functionality can you really get from that?

PS1, PS2, Xbox 360, DS, and Wii are all incredibly easily pirated and have been for the majority of their high selling times.
Heck, the PS2 can be pirated so that you can play hundreds of games off of a HDD and it just FINALLY got surpassed by the DS which you can buy a cartridge for less than $50, insert a micro-SD card and have close to 50 DS games pirated. The software on all of these consoles have made many companies millions of dollars.

Sony does not have jurisdiction over every country's legal system. Plus, he could easily just prove it to be slander instead of a viable threat stating that he does not have the know-how to threaten the company instead of a menacing blog.

Alot of hackers are very smart and accomplished people who throughly enjoy testing, breaking and writing on any machine they can, people who like a real challenge, and most importantly, are usually people who absolutely do not like wh...
If done right and they can get balancing right and not create a scenario of "I was here first and have more time sunk in so you never have a chance to beat me", then I can see this being very fun. Especially if you can ally with somebody and grow your cities together and share resources, then you could break your allegiance for a certain price of what you built together...I don't know, could be very fun =)

Believe me, EVERYONE learned from SEGA's mistakes when making consoles. PS3 might continue to get hardware revisions and smaller gpu's/cpu's, but the amount of resources will not change and we will not get an usb attachment that adds power to the ps3.
I am a former 360 owner and a current ps3/pc gamer and love them both for gaming. PC has titles it's much better to play on and the ps3 has titles that feel better to play on etc etc
But I digress, I googled "infamous 2 tested on 360 and pc" and found 2-3 articles where different developers/PR people at Sucker Punch made claims about what could and could not be done on other consoles, but please, post a link showing fact that you so boldly claimed or just stfu....
Worst idea ever buddy. Creating a whole other computer language will temporary stop the hackers, but will take much longer to get running then it will to hack.
Sony is doing the best thing possible. Scare all would be people who are actually smart enough to hack it into not releasing anything and simultaneously have people working to stay a step ahead of the holes. Most normal people want NOTHING to do with a lawyer team that makes six figures, period.
