It's talking about the largest open world games, not the best. And just because size doesn't matter, doesn't mean we can't admire the sheer size of it.
Different reviewers with different opinions at IGN. Why is that so hard to understand?

Despite all its issues, I absolutely love PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and I can estimate that I have spent at least a total of 250 hours playing the game. A lot of good memories of playing the game online with friends and strangers. I loved playing Dante, Jak and Daxter, Good Cole, and my main, Kat (Yes I mained Kat. Bite me ;p ). So it's a shame that the servers are getting shut down soon. I only hope for a sequel someday.

If Bayonetta 2 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 had co-op missions, I don't see why Devil May Cry 5 can't. It'd be a cool to be able to select between Nero, Dante, Trish, Lady, or maybe even Vergil, and team up against a wave of enemies and boss battles.

- An aware Symmetra can use her turrets to easily prevent Sombra from getting near, and an upclose Mei can scare her away.
- Moira may have range, but she does little damage and has limited mobility. A Soldier or a Reaper can shut her down easily, even on console.

Not to defend IGN, but why is it so hard to understand that IGN reviews have different reviewers all with different opinions?

It doesn't work that way.
In comparison, the original Xbox and Gamecube had better hardware compared to the PS2, but PS2 was considered the better console because of its games and accessibility.

Not being interested in it because it's not your preference is perfectly fine. We all have preferences. But saying it's overrated because you don't like it is ignorant.
I finished Skyrim twice. It's good game, but in my opinion, it's terribly overrated, and it did not deserve the praise it got.

I do like the fact that Sony likes to balance out their months between lesser-known lower-rated titles, and AAA titles. It gives each month a lot of variety and different kinds of titles. I know months like February and August for PS Plus got a lot of flack for announcing titles that were lacking in quality, but I actually appreciate that they're willing to give lesser titles a spotlight.
Balance and variety helps a lot, in my opinion.
I would say that it's not cheating if it was willingly implemented into the game by its developers, but if they themselves say otherwise, then so be it.
Well that was from your personal experience. Me? I personally enjoyed working with other weapons, experimenting with new combos, and chaining together combos with other combos.
But to each their own experience, and to each their own view.
I'd personally love a sequel to DmC: Devil May Cry. It was a solid game that has a lot of potential, despite the controversy it caused.
The chances seem pretty slim for a sequel or sone form of continuation, but I have my hopes up.
