play them first
Like it was said earlier. Most video game reviews find something negative to point out. Its almost a necessity.
Try not to gripe about small stuff as its just part of journalism. When some of the negatives seem nitpicky, its actually a really good sign.
PS3 has the longest life span of the three. the hacking side is scary however.
MS is having trouble with the DVD format, so that might push them into making a new xbox.
the Wii? where do I start? its pretty much first xbox with motion controls. no blu ray or high def.
PC also needs some new hardware and a killer app like crysis in 07. problem is developers make more money on consoles so there's little incentive.
Get a gaming PC then.
PC will need to up the ante. In fact PC gaming has slowed down with tech as well. most new video cards are just more streamlined and cooler (i mean heat) versions of old ones.
The best looking PC game of today came out four years ago.
UFC is more geared toward online, they dont exactly have the greatest single player modes anyways.
the article says that if they announce new systems to be released in three years (that would be 2014) it would be horrible fyi.
THQ doesnt want new systems for at least 5-6 years.
I think they will get what they want, because the current gen of systems is far from done and outdated.
PC gaming tends to show the need for new consoles, we will need to see some groundbreaking stuff from some PC games before new consoles come around.
...
I couldn't agree more well said.
Good, I really don't want online to be filled with cheaters like MW2 has become. Xbox 360 has been hacked awhile but at least online is mostly cheater free.
I agree most articles that are approved are BS flambait.
It doesnt take a business marketing genious to see that the more demographics you hit the more money you make.
That being said I hope they dont forget about the hardcore games and the exclusives that got them to where they are today. Next year looks dissapointing on games front so I hope they announce some great games soon.
How does the article, (both this one and the one they talk about) make MS not caring about gamers official?
just saying hes pretty much saying sony's "it only does everything" in his own words.
Article is reading too much into it. theres plenty of other things that point to this opinion, but this one is moot.
the exclusive list and heavy emphasis on kinect are HUGE signs of this however. That being said, MS still has the consol...
Dead eye
I will admit I have no source, just seen people saying it on these boards. Something about being able to change the ID with PS3s code.
You know FFXIII is dissapointing for most of it until you FINALLY get to open areas near the end of game.
Not saying that the 80% of linear game is worth it, but I did enjoy the end doing all of the hunts.
if the sequel immediately jumps into the open world type gameplay that the end of XIII has, I think it will be a much better game.
I do like the battle system when you finally get the whole thing and party switching. the biggest problem wit...
You do know this and dragon age are two completely different types of games right?
Dragon age was never supposed to be a hack n slash. In fact most fans are pissed that the sequel will have real time weapon buttons. Dragon age is in fact a turn based game FYI (just a real time one)
I would call VS more of kingdom hearts game than dragon age. cmon.
Look what happened to psp. same kind of hack, easy to do no hardware of tech knowledge needed.
Last time I checked PSP sucks, comes out with 1 or 2 games worth having each year. Nobody wants to give away free games.
and yes I know DS is easy as well, but it IS marketed towards little kids like my ten year old niece who doesnt even know what hacking is.
Also isnt going online with this hack now infinitely easier to do with ps3 than the other ...
You would be surprised how may people are interested in cheating.
I hate to point at a certain group, but younger gamers who havent matured yet are the biggest of the cheaters. Not to mention all you need is google and a USB and now the younger kids have the means to hack.
before you would need to know how to solder, find the right modchip, and risk bricking machine and killing warranty. O and you would also need to have money which a lot of the younger cro...
Bubbles for MrBeatdown, well said.
Everyone who disagrees needs to look at PC gaming. It should be by far the superior of all gaming, but hacks and piracy leads developers to stick with the "safer" systems.
Since Xbox360 seems intent to be Wii2 for the moment, we really need PS3 to keep providing us with hardcore gaming.
It may even be worse than pc, since PC can still keep more people off online gaming than PS3 can at this point
Enough with this bullshit about other OS being the reason. It sounds worse than saying "my dog ate it".
People have been trying to hack this system since release. What was Geohots excuse for iphone?
Also anyone who claims they want to jailbreak for other reasons besides piracy is either lying to us or themselves unless they fall under the 1% of people who just want to add to their OS.
Do we have proof that they havent been working on this already?
I know usually IW and treyarch have 2 years to make each game, thats why two devs are needed to make annual game.
Having said that the whole fallout with IW may have thrown the model off.
Im not a huge fan of COD, but dont forget that a lot of devs have 2 year time w sequel, bioware for instance has 2 years dev time for me3 and da2
I really hope the game isnt as linear as the narrative may suggest. since your going to different places at different times, I wonder how they are going to handle the exploration factor.
I even wonder if you ever get to choose where you want to go, or will this be more like a JRPG where the locations are limited for quite some time until it opens up near the end.
has anyone played crysis 2 or killzone 3 yet?
Just saying...
saying one is better than other isn't even an opinion at this point, its a lie.
Ill get both so I win.
