story looks very good, gameplay looks just like COD though. Fighting in N. America has been done by COD as well. Looks promising though, just hoping it isn't just a COD clone.
This could be the first intelligent complaint about a game that I have ever heard. I dont agree, but it does make sense.
ya i actually prefer combat as it takes away some of the "crutches" from first one. ie you cannot make 100 potions for cheap with herbalism, you cannot spam heal on tank and let everyone else roam free, you cannot turn mage into a tank etc.
You could argue that gaming is detrimental to kids sure but coke? Wow, dudes probly got nothing but coke heads and gamers in his sessions.
There are pros cons to everything, trying to look at both sides in order to find a medium seems like a lost art. This view is beyond extreme, its like saying that drinking 1 beer, leads to people getting the urge to run people over.
So if i play for four hours a day, i should then stop and start doing 1 line of coke a day and my life will be better!
Mom dad i may be a coke head but i dont play video games anymore! Are you proud?
Yay for coke! its the new nicotine patch for gamers
Thank you, I still don't get why people WANT things to fail. It makes zero sense.
its not fan girl its fan man and thats a scientific fact
in the case of this article it started with someone commenting on trolls, which is never wise.
That being said, I am sick of hearing about killzone in crysis articles, just like i didnt want to see crysis comments on killzone.
but thats just me.
That looks like it may be in the future, but with new ways to prevent piracy, the more it takes away from paying customers.
It is a tough situation, especially when new companies IE ubisoft come out with a new DRM that piss off customers and is cracked within a week of release.
I hope they come out with a way to prevent more piracy, or at least make it difficult enough to minimize it to the niche of dedicated thieves.
storytelling (voiced main with static last name, boinking your companions, and convo wheel) is like Mass Effect.... but that's it.
They did streamline it comparable to how ME2 streamlined ME, but "Mass Effect 2 with swords" is a very closed minded way to put it.
Especially when they haven't changed the "core" of the game. It plays very much like Origins (With auto attack on, which is available for all versions of full releases). ...
You can issue commands to each party member, I never trusted tactics, always controlled party members myself. Its why there is a pause button in the game.
Sarcasm, even has profile picture of halo/killzone
theres mature players and immature players on ps3 xbox and pc.
only way to play game without immature people is to play single player.
how can you generalize like that?
The guy says THREE sentences, THREE. Mentions N4G....comments go a flying.
someone want to say hes wrong? because this article is proving him right 200 times over.
Whats worse, someone who admits he pays attention to community and a site that is huge right now? Or that the fact that people are analyzing two sentences to death because he is paying attention?
Well said bubbles for you.
We haven't seen a single player campaign for "base" battlefield series yet. I do hope the game really utilizes team co-ordination and large open areas.
I already know the multi on this game will be good, I hope they use the same premise for single. (secretly hope they use mechanics from ghost recon or something similar)
just don't give me call of duty campaign with buildings that can fall down.
I would like to add that battlefield 1942 came out a year before first Call of Duty.
Battlefield 2 "modern setting came a few years before Modern Warfare.
So while there is a ton of copying, Call of Duty borrowed a ton itself.
Lots of games borrow from others, if an idea is good I don't mind devs using it and building on it (uncharted was masterpiece using perfect blend of other games while adding popcorn movie flair). Problem late...
I will mention that halo and Cod play very differently.
sequels aren't going to completely change gameplay otherwise it would be a new game.
COD however is the Madden Football of shooters with very small updates year to year with 1 big year every 6 to 7 years.
Also look at the backlash behind dragon age 2 and mass effect 2, they give us the innovation that this article calls for and all you see is whining that it isnt just a rehash like ...
6 months later
Considering that this is a very well established franchise, as well as people salivating over a true BF3 game before these videos, I would say Juggernaut.
People still play battlefield 2. 1942 was a huge hit when it was first released and when they released 1943 on live and psn.
Is has been the ultimate team shooter and looks like they are raising the bar even higher. Kind of silly to even consider this to be a cash in. Battlefield isn't exactly a new f...
repeat the success of angry birds again and then you can talk.
Angry birds will one day be the "macarena" of video games. Something that hits absolutely huge, but then becomes a joke sometime later. We will all reflect on it wondering why people were so stupid to like it so much.
Edit: not to mention most sales are from a different user base than console gamers. Its like Chipotle with all its success with burrito's saying "Hamburgers are d...
