unfortunately the first crysis was a 9 to 10 pc game. PC gamers feel robbed that second crysis wasnt at the same level as first.
Both games are great, but some of the things that separated first crysis from all other games was cut out.
Crysis and Killzone can be considered generic. killstreaks, cover systems, perks, classes and loadouts, sprint, multiplayer gametypes, all have been done by other games.
killzone is considered by many to be a generic game with extra shine.
while crysis does bring new elements, the suit, everything else is copied. the suit is great, but nothing else they can call their own, thats why fans of first crysis are so dissapointed.
Dont forget Call of duty is not too different from guitar hero and tony hawk games.
very popular and sold well, but got overdone and people grew tired of the games.
Call of duty is on another level, being the number 1 game for a few years now, so it may take longer, but people will begin to tire of this game.

I own Killzone 3 and enjoy it, but the multiplayer tries to be battlefield and comes a little short.
I would put killzone 3 over crysis 2 multi, Homefront, COD BO multi.
have you tried any battlefield games?
it is very easy at beginning, then gets harder with 20 minute apart save points at the latter part of game, there is a jump in difficulty coming soon.

I know people want to compare this to borderlands and Fallout because of similar scenery and apocalypse theme.
But try and compare this game to a more Open Doom game than fallout (first person rpg) or borderlands (first person shooting diablo)
I am glad this game will not play like the other two, and I love the Doom and quake games so this is a day one for me.
fallout used same engine as oblivion, so less time there. it is an rpg with lots of dialog and moving around in openess that was easy for them to implement. it was buggy as hell because they spent more time in content instead of playtesting.
Rage used new engine created by ID, that alone takes longer than some games. The graphics and framerate are more advanced than fallouts engine.

crysis 2 game length is heavily influenced by what type of gameplay you choose, people who go for 100 percent stealth will have a longer game time.
Running and blasting everything or even going half and half will shorten the game. Took me 10 and loved it.

darkspawnclone I am with you 100% even bought crysis 2 on ps3 instead of PC for that exact reason. I really dont want ps3 or xbox live for that matter to turn into the pc scene.
not that pc scene is broken, but some games really get hacked hard. Every time u play game online you wonder who is using aimbot or cheats.
