DS would have been higher if not for noob-ass reviewers down-grading it for it's difficulty.
The game isn't even that hard. It's fair and actually gets pretty easy once you know your enemies and surroundings.
The score really doesn't matter though. I didn't buy this because of media reviews.

Some games are story-based, like an rpg.
If you strip away what makes the game fun (like the story, or the action, or customization, or whatever element that is pushing that game to the forefront), that game's gonna be meh.
Let's strip away FFVII's story and characters,
and then strip away Tomb Raider and Uncharted's search for treasure
Oh and strip away, the Hulk, Spider-man, Batman and Thor ...

Yeah, and be smart about your choices, like don't have Grunt lead a stealth mission.
And if one of your crew keeps dying (like the scientist), try having him escort the rescued crew back to the ship.
He'll survive with them, and won't be in the line of fire to die around you.
ME2's play mechanics were more streamlined, but I actually liked the first ME's story a whole lot better than ME2's.
I felt the same way about Uncharted's story over U2's though.
I would say that playing ME2 without first playing ME may do a great disservice to the story and to yourselves.
The biggest kick out of ME2 for me was see the results of all of the choices I made in ME1... from major plot points to minor character...

It's a shame that Capcom almost trains us to skip their first release and wait a few months for the better version.
I was a huge SFII fan back in the day when Capcom would release souped-up version after souped-up version.
But it wasn't until we had to buy the RE5 Gold edition to have a Move-compatible version of the game that all of this FINALLY sunk in with me.
So now I find myself waiting for the upgraded version of Capcom games

And it's the game I played the most. Once you know what you're doing, the game is crack addictive.

PS3 titles seem to score well inspite of bias. Like their held to a higher level. It's unfair bit hopefully devs see this and try to make an even better game that can't be downplayed
Spin away if you must, but the title gets a lower score with an HD makeover and extra games.

The original backwards compatible ones are like gold catching a lot more than $200.
If your fan is loud, vacuum it.
And if that doesn't work, then be brave and open it up. Remove the giant dust bunnies. Break it down right to the fan for best results.
It's actually pretty easy. You should just label your screws or place them in an order that you can remember when closing up your PS3.
It will take a couple hours tops...
