Most games allow to playthrough the game up to an hour in, collecting trophies etc

If you purchase the game you get to keep the trophies that you already unlocked and continue.

MAG let's to play the whole game but only let's you level up to 8. After purchasing, your level get set to where it should be and you continue playing as usual

At least I believe that's how it works for MAG

It's a good game, but timing is NOT to blame.

The story was ok, but not gripping or something to come back to time and again

Certainly not $60 good

If you are thorough with collecting things, you will beat it in two play sessions

Gameplay was ok as well

Then there's the dmc hate

And the HS "low sales" excuses

And then the dev comments of the characters movin...

I like using Paul Phoenix and Jun Kazama. Michelle was cool too.

FF fans are used to greatness out of their games; not just a solid experience

FF expectations were up there with the MGS series. You knew every release was going to be incredible.

Now it's "I hope this game is good" instead of "I can't wait for this f'n game! It's gonna be insane!!"

The games I hear 360 gamers - not fanboys - want to play the most are

MGS4
Uncharted
LBP
GoW
and Demon's Souls

Which is pretty good indicator of Demon's Souls' appeal that it's among those heavy-weights -- and with zero advertising; strictly word of mouth

Now, I'm not saying that Dark Souls will sell MORE on 360. But I do think that the sales will make the port worth while.
