Now there is really big pressure to release the game non-broken, but considering the broken release trend we are seeing more and more, I think being broken on release is an inevitability
Yes I agree HL3 should be the flagship title to usher in source 2.0 engine
As long as the devs are open and honest about it and provide a big laundry list of things not yet implemented or reasons not to buy early access (like DayZs developer, rocket), I think its fine to do early access
Or you could use one of the most powerful tools at your disposal, the INTERNET! There are literally people whose job it is to play these early access games and give their opinions on it. Use your resources people. Its 2014
To a person with standards, yes they are important. I like my graphics AND gameplay to be the best of the best, so I play on PC.
Now I just hope the controls have been done well
I thought you could do this before hand, you just had to talk to steam customer service
But at least its streamlined now. I wonder if they will revoke any preorder hats you get in TF2 or something
30 fps is still pretty pathetic, and I can guarantee you there will be sacrifices to graphical quality, lack of anti aliasing, what have you. 1080p is nothing to brag about.
It will probably be better than sonys VR device, since it won't have such severe hardware restrictions as the PS4
I hear early 2014
Oh hey most of those kids are console players
shocker
How is dragon age inquisition even on that list when dragon age 2 was so terrible
games are better off shorter if you have the attention span of a child and don't buy games unless they have some multiplayer shoehorned into it. No, I like my games long, and I like them single player. Multiplayer games is a whole other issue. I want at least 100 hours out of a multiplayer game
Best way to play this will be on PC with high settings maxed out if you can handle it. Playing it on a console will not do the game justice. To play it at 30 fps at lackluster visual quality on a console is like a sculptor making a masterpiece then selling polaroid pictures of the sculpture to people.
Witcher devs are being too nice about the issue. The PC version of the game will blow the console versions out of the water. The gap will be pretty large, when all is said and ...
indies are putting out some of the best stuff. Routine, The Forest, and The Long Dark are all survival horror games (Long Dark maybe not horror, but surviving can be scary). I can't wait until these come out. Especially Routine. I've been dying for a true space survival horror ever since dead space started taking a more actiony approach
Skyrim was lame, the witcher 2 was better in almost every regard except for not being truly open world.
witcher 2 had better story, grahpics, combat, aesthetic, choices, and overall was more interesting
Skyrim is like the COD of rpgs. Sure the world is big but it utterly lacks any substance to it. Combat feels like swinging around a giant wooden stick until the thing you are swinging at dies, with no real sense of impact. Dungeons are literally copy pasted ov...
lol thats pretty cool. And Norwegian schools are known to be pretty good, so I'll just assume this guy isn't just messing around playing videogames for fun
as it is now, witcher 2 is a better game than skyrim. To compare witcher 3, which improves on witcher 2 in almost every regard, to skyrim, is an unfair comparison. Skyrim gets blown out of the water easily
Gameplay and graphics are both important. These are video games. Notice the VIDEO part of it. I happen to enjoy the best gameplay and the best graphics, which is why I choose the platform that gets the best of both worlds; pc
The black ops series is actually pretty good as far as cod goes
Poor hygiene? Who cares. Thats a real gamer right there
You know, back when all the jocks and the bros and the gurls didn't hijack the term 'gamer' so they could call themselves gamers for playing COD every so often
