did you ignore the nvidia shield, or the ps vita
obviously nintendo dominates the handhelds but anyone else who even attempts it fails
so far, hand held devices and MMOs seem to be the latest things that are doomed to fail
i'd put tf2 ahead of blacklight honestly
@corn
Its just proof that slow reloading musket combat can work in a multiplayer game. And you can go first person in the game as well. And civil war era weapons shoot further and some of the repeater weapons shoot faster than the muskets of the napoleonic era. Again, you have to have played the game to understand how the mechanics could work
you've never played napoleonic wars have you
modern gamers are stupid and perceive alpha or beta as 'early demo'
have you seen his podcast? he likes to talk about trendy tech or scientific stuff
Also, this is great news for occulus rift. They might even get some TV time on the scyfy show that rogan hosts
@cyguration
its hard to explain things to kids? welp we better ban transexuals and even homosexuals while we're at it! How could you possibly take a moment to talk to your kid about people being different, and having to respect them as an individual regardless?
exactly how is this forcing anyone to embrace their lifestyle choice? Forcing you to embrace their lifestyle choice would mean you getting a game over if you refused to get your character a sex change operation. And why would you even be upset over something like this from japan. They love to make androgynous characters left and right in their games.
Shame about the player cap. I'd easily trade the ridiculous ai enemy stuff for actual players who just had to wait their turn before becoming pilots who could call in titans, or maybe just have 64 players and let them all have titans. Now that would be a futuristic war game I'd like to see, probably couldn't be handled by xbox one hardware so whatever. Maybe battlefield 2143 will have something like this, assuming of course they make it at some point
'hey guys remake these games and add some trivial enhancements and then resell them to us for another 60 bucks! its what we want!'
A bit of a radical change in direction in terms of game genre by the developers, and I really don't have anything to gauge how successfully they will make this game. But I'm optimistic enough to realize that just because gearbox screwed up big time, it doesn't mean every alien game will screw up. Also, survival horror seems like it would be a great fit to the original spirit of the movie
@Lukas
One mod that is particularly drastic in how much more lively it makes skyrim feel is this one mod that adds flora and grass and plants and trees everywhere. Not just willy nilly, but region specific vegetation. Climate specific vegetation. You'd think this would tank somebodies framerate but it didn't, and it made skyrim feel so much more alive.
Theres this other mod that completely redoes nearly all of the clothing and armor and weapons, in a...
skyrim actually runs surprisingly well even when its pimped out with a bunch of mods
Its staggering how day and night different modded skyrim is to vanilla skyrim. Vanilla skyrim offers a miniscule amount of immersion compared to skyrim with even the most basic immersion mods
I hope for this too. It all seemed to be falling into place; the release of the steambox, steamos, and a brand new engine hosting their flagship title, HL3, to usher in a suite of games built on this brand new engine
My only wish is they at least have the respect for their fans to conclude half life 3 with a finale that people can appreciate. Then they can do whatever they want after that, whatever multiplayer-centric ventures they may like
First time I've been disappointed by something gabe has said
this is messed up, and my resentment of the MOBA genre has just grown
I just hope they don't copy and paste and recycle as many enemies and locations in this dragon age. I hated being confined to that stupid small repetitive city fighting repeating enemies
Mods are always important imo, but if they can't do it at launch then whatever
Just be damn sure you add in an FOV option, or we're gonna have a problem
would be kinda hard to do high speed car chases on such narrow roads and fight cops with billy clubs lol
5 star wanted level can bring out the cops that actually use weapons in the UK
Just because you have low standards for your games inthezone, doesn't mean we have to. I like my games to play good AND look good
