I thought FFVII's looked better personally. Higher res and smoothed out where it helped. FFIX, to me, looked like they upped the resolution but forgot to smooth things out where needed. Maybe it depends what you play on as I've been using a PS4 Pro...
Cant be worse than the FF9 remaster. Prerendered backgrounds in that game now looks like bad digitized water coloring.
@TheRealTedCruz Konami HAD to shelve projects that people were excited for. They had no money. Kojima almost bankrupted the whole company into the ground with the amounts of money and time he demanded for his last few games. They made him Vice President and he ran the company like a mad CEO. That was why Konami had to invest in Pachinko machines, as they had no money and needed it fast. I for one applaud how they were able to get back on their feet so fast.

You must have never played the original FF7. The game doesnt end when you first leave Midgar, where as Episode One of the Remake does. SquarEnix themselves have called it being "Episodic" in nature. On top of that it's been in development for over five years. It was in development way before it was announced at E3 years ago and even longer if you count the PS3 tech demo that was worked on.
I'd rather have a quick and polished remake like RE2 than one that's been in development hell for a long time and then when we do get it we still dont really get it cuz its episodic and it will be another decade before we get halfway though all the episodes they milk out.
