"STORY MODE" isn't supposed to be difficult at all. The game even states it. The whole point of a "STORY MODE" is to get the player through the story and nothing else, hence the name of the mode. If the "writer" of this opinion piece wanted a challenge or any sense of gaming accomplishment then they should have played on a higher difficulty.
When compared to previous Resident Evil games it's not so good. However, when compared to every action game on the market at the time it released, it was amazing!
If Capcom had released it as a spin off instead of a main entry it could have been recieved more positively.
Of course it is... it's a much newer system. Anyone who wanted an Xbox One has basically already bought one. This isnt anymore of a surprising statistic than it would be to claim that the Switch is outselling the Dreamcast.

The biggest quality I look for when deciding on buying a new game is if it makes me want to take a drill to my temple due to boredom. Yup, numero uno best feature a game can have is just being plain and outright unfun.
I'm glad opinion piece stories like this exist so we can all see the best opinions in the market place for ideas. Unfun and repetitive games... if only every game could be a Hideo Kojima "Masterpiece"!
