Would be sad if they make another shadow of the colossus. This team is to good for sequels. I guess they make something complete different.
Maybe a system seller for the PS3, would be nice.

"I mean the 'Cell' has 9 cores..."
Lol, are they still growing in your PS3? 9 SPE's usable for games?

Face it: The next-gen consoles have not enough power and memory for crysis. It's true, consoles needn't much memory for OS and backgroundtasks. But it's still much to less for those high detailed highres graphics.
Hey, it's only ONE game.

"Quite interesting considering PS3 uses OpenGL while 360 uses DirectX (just like their predecessors). Huh."
AFAIK especially the first XBOX games used the DirectX API to easily access the GPU. But it is also possible (and more efficient) to directly write a GPU code like it was done for the first 3d accelerator graphic cards in MS-DOS based PC's.
It's just the same with next gen consoles i guess.

I played God of War. It's a nearly perfect videogame. 720p with the same 3D models and the same textures isn't really a big deal. (Same as upscaled XBOX Games an 360).
Sony did a really good job with backwards compatibility anyway.

Actual PC graphic cards have 512MB Ram and above. And there's a lot more memory required for the game code. This large areas and view distance with high detailed graphics can't be done on PS3 or 360.

Seems you're a Sony fanboy too. Maybe Lair and Heavenly Sword are a reason for me to buy a PS3 but not the available games. Face it: RFOM is not bad but i played similar shooters on my PC a 100 times. It's really "Half Life meets COD". Now what about the 360 "shooter" machine?
Motorstorm? Wait for Sega Rally, it should have better graphics and physics ... oops it's multiplatform.

"the Cell was made for GAMING"
I don't think so. It was NOT a development exclusively dedicated to the PS3.
" I believe Crysis could be done on the PS3 without glitches or lag"
With 512 MB RAM? LOL! None console can handle this.

Games like Ninty Nine Nights or Kameo already proofed that the 360 can handle as much opponents as Lair does. Most of the time its no benefit for the gameplay anyway.

I guess it runs on 3 years old systems. But fully downscaled it may look like far cry.

means it's Sony's last one or the PS4 will be worse.

Climbing up a latter with the weapon in both hands! This is really anything but nextgen, it's kind'a crap.

I don't care. What is it all about the pure online shooters? It's just some good graphics and a bit of balancing. That's much to little for paying a full price game.
So i'm even disappointed about "Huxley".
Is there anyone else, who wants a depth, haunting story in good games?

I wish, microsoft would will reach as good backward compatibility sometimes. Still only the half of my XBOX games work. Hopefully M$ hasn't stopped updating the support files.
Maybe i'll buy a ps3 later (after a pricedrop). Yes, you CAN have both without hating one.

I think it's much to early to hype or bash this game. We still haven't seen much ingame videos. But i agree: I'm not sure, if i'd like the colors after some hours of playing. And it appears a bit too unsharp to me, i cannot find one razor sharp texture / area.

Just no need for such modding. The 360 controller is flawless.

The most importand invention (in this context) was an american. The first comercial video game was PONG as far as i know.
But #3.1 electricity, what about Werner Von Siemens (1866)?
Television:There where different scientists involved, starting with the german Paul Nipkow. First transmission in japan btw.
#5 Is right, the first binary, programmable computer was build by Konrad Zuse.
Phone: Even more than one man involved, but let's say your'...

I really enjoyed KOTOR and Jade Empire. Great games and Mass Effect is the next step to an even better RPG. I don't think the classic YRPG's like (erased the name, don't need bashing) can compete at last.
I only have a bad feeling about the download content, it theoretical allows to release an unfinished product in order to hold the shipment date.

GOW is great, but lost planet is even better. It's a classic 'videogame' but in every level there's somthing new to explore. Really like it! Nice smoke and detonations btw.

It's way to early to rate this game.
I really enjoyed MGS 1 (bought even the Gamcube remake "Twin Snakes") and MGS 2. They're really great games.
So i bought MGS3 "snake eater" and i hated it because of it's bad POV. Yet Konami knew so they improved the camera angles for MGS3:Subsistence.
Little things like this can bring the whole game down. Anyway next gen games can be patched easy...
