One point is missing: Sony choose wisely a slower HDD producing less heat and noise. You should think about that when buying a new one.

New dev tools are always a good thing. But other developers have already shown they can create great animations themselves (i.e. MGS4, Heavenly Sword).

The lifecycles seems to become shorter and shorter. M$ hasn't even established Vista on the market. The should focus their energy to optimze Vista first and make it compatible to the newest hardware for some years. I know from industrial view it's a problem to use business software and loose support much to soon.

The facial animation system looks fantastic (i.e. Narikos sister)! Those details make a gaming experience even more intensive.
They did a lot for high quality cut scenes and a cinematic feeling. A sequel is a far better idea than the rumored multiplayer mode in my eyes. But it shouldn't be a pure recycling of the existing engine / artworks.
Heavy Rain was only a tech demo for PS3 and PC.
I'll buy a PS3 soon for myself when nice new games come out like Heavenly Sword and Uncharted.
But what is it again and again about MGS 4? No one knowes nowadays if it comes up to the expectations.
I'm a great MGS fan myself, played MGS 1 and buyed the remake Twin Snakes cause it's a really great game. I liked MGS 2 as much and finished it twice.
But MGS 3 was a great disappointment in my eyes. It had a horrible camer...

The changeover to 65 nanometer fabrication seems to be not so easy at all , the announcements are quite old now.
uhh.. you haven't played a lot shooters yet, have you? In a lot of very old pc shooters you can duck, crawl and lean around edges. Far Cry anyone?

Hey, Silent Hill 2 - one of the best games ever. And i still haven't finished Blood Rayne 2, now i can!
There's a lot more for sure. Think about Duke Nukem or Postal 2.
