True - such high detailed environments like the "jungle" need a lot of memory. Also multicore cpu's are on the rise. The quadcores are not the last ones for sure.

I never regreted buying a Cube for RE, RE-0, RE4, Eternal Darkness and MGS-Twin Snakes.
Btw.: RE-Zero was as enjoyable as the RE remake for me.

I sold my PS2 and kept my favourite PS2 games. The new PS3 would be no option for me. Some other guys do it like i did ... i guess.
But if it has a 65 nm CPU and needs less cooling it would be the better choice as DVD player.
Faster HDD's usually mean more noise.

I must admit RE2 is no thriller but they listened to the fans and added more game characters, a lot of RE2 & 3 (game) plus the complete intro from Code Veronica. It is kind of a homage to the games.
That's why i bought a PS3! Well, well, it will take some time to kill them all (1000).
The graphics, the fluid animations are phantastic but if you are honest you must agree Ninja Gaiden gives you a more precise, direct control.
Anyway, i'll love it!
The so called 'destructoid' must have lost his eyeglasses.
The dialoque scenes are on an equal high level as the Heavenly Sword cutscenens but theres a big benefit for the gameflow - they're interactive.
I'll buy both games - i'm no hater.

PS3 userbase rises constantly. I think it will be on 360 and PS3 (maybe later on PS3). Time for Sony to release a rumble controller (which was called last gen). This very fast game is much better to play if you can feel when your block is beeing hit and it's time for a counter move.

Maybe higher resolutions can be used for blu-ray playback (upscaled?), but not for games. M$ is absolutely right in this: The sweet spot for this generation is 720p for sure. The best games with great graphics (detailed texures,effects ...) and a lot things going on utilize a lot CPU power and all the memory. I can live with it. ;-)
Good read. The concept sketches by Brian Yam are very impressive, maybe to high detailed for the final game. Usually concept drawings are more 'raw'.
Hope they shut down some SPE's for DVD playback like it was rumoured. Less power consumption and lower fan noise for that would be nice.
