It's bad from Sony not to allow third party developers to use the bluetooth interface. This really sucks. The controller looks more ergonomic than Sonys. Even using standard batteries might be a benefit in long terms.
But i won't miss motion sensing and the power button.
Great minds think alike.
Will there be a special edition with a pin up poster of Jade?
I don't like this mixture of truth, half truth and lies. He wrote like a politician. The PS3 build quality may be better, that's no news.
Sounds not so good to me. I would be more happy if it's the team from SH2. So it's the brand at first and not the "spirit".
Still the PS3-only players sadly have no games to play and spend their time adding 360-comments ;-).
Even if it would be true (is not) i don't care a pap for it. Some of the best games ever have been on multiple discs.
In some months or years, when the PS3 has some great games too, more PS3-only fanboys can spend their time on playing games. This will decrease the lame bashing.
Maybe with Mass Effect the real next-gen gaming starts ;-)
"Either way, this will hopefully be the first of many stunning actions games to come to the PS3 and the one of the first legitimate reasons to plonk down that hard-earned grand."
100% agree.
Would've been a nice launch title for the PS3, but i took even longer for the 360 to get the "must haves" (Bought mine with Gears and Lost Planet).
The PS3 may be a reliable piece of hardware. But as long as the 360 has the games i want to play and the PS3 hasn't i'll hang on to my 360.
This means on the other hand this game will run not so good on AMD / ATI systems. Other developers may prefer / optimize their game at first for AMD / ATI. That's one (not the only) point, where PC-gaming sucks.
The 720p support is a great thing. One more reason to buy a PS3 when the AAA- games are finished. With Heavenly Sword i'll probably jump in.
720p is the majority of the sold HDTV's i think. It's still the only reasonable choice for smaller hdtv's (like my 32") i guess.
I prefer the rumble (PS2), wich made me feel closer to the action.
But what do we have to expect? Nearly every well known hero of the greek mythology has already been killed by kratos.
Some kind of remake would be lame.
Btw: I was not so impressed by the flying / gliding sectors. Felt exactly like Raziel in Soul Reaver.
But GOW 1+2 are great games after all.
but this game may turn out as a system seller for me (and some other guys)
Well, well is it about the first PS3 version with the PS2 chips embedded or the newer / european version?
That's a very important difference cause almost every game should work fine on the 'old' PS3 anyway.
Well, unfortunately some (many?) of them will delay. It's part of the business.
Anyway the 360 took over one year having enough top exclusives to make me buy one. With the PS3 it's just the same - i'll pick one later.
(One of the) Best playstation game(s) so far "God of War 2" - works fine on my PS2.
Nothing really new. Looks like they use high detailed textures and models for the cut scenes, like it is done i.e. in gears...
Again i'm not sure if i like the in-game graphic style. Too much bloom effect makes it look a bit like cell shading. Additional the "depth of field" .... reminds me of oil paintings.
But i always liked the game in motion.
360 never requires HD-space for caching game data. I know, you're not forced to use the HD but the blue-ray drive is drastic slower than a standard DVD drive.
But i'll agree the 20GB of the premium 360/ cheaper PS3 is very small.
The cutscenes look phantastic for sure. But im not really sure about the ingame graphic. It looks not like state of the art. Even Lara in Tomb Raider Legend looks better.
If the gameplay works as perfect as it in God of War does the graphic is not the most important thing anyway.
"My elite sounds like it's about to take off when i play a game and my ps3 is so smooth running can't even hear it."
The sound really means nothing cause the PS3 has even a higher power consumption and produces not less heat for sure.
Next gen consoles need a working monitoring system with emergency shutdown ;-). Maybe cpu shrink will help both systems in future.
