yeah I'm just used to how the pc does it. I guess if dlc works mods could also BUT would ms allow it? for free? probably not.
Most pc gamers I know have consoles too. sure some pc gamers bitch a lot but so do gamers that use ps3 or xbox. I'm old enough to have played pong when i was a kid but come on, the consoles today are basically locked down pc's and use gpus based off of pc just stripped down probably for cost, power, and heat.
i think you need the game installed on a hard disk. Mods go in the oblivion/data folder.
sure consoles are great but most of the big multiplats came from pc. COD, Elder Scrolls, L4D, Battlefield, Crysis, Far Cry, Unreal, Rainbow Six, HalfLife, DeusEx, Tomb Raider?, etc. Competitive multiplayer was also made popular on pc.
It's not an issue for ms but I think they should have more exclusive content. Multiplat games are fine but ms is the only one that charges for multiplayer so if the same games are available on pc and ps3 than its like you are paying more for less (pc and ps3 have more games). But ms will be fine either way since they have windows.
If you live within driving distance to a microcenter you can pick up a i5 2500k for $175
true that game isn't on rails but it looked awful. I don't know if it was because the person didn't know how to play but it seems like you move so slow and sometimes was walking backwards
I think it's probably closer to the Cold War Crisis Op Flashpoint
maybe they're waiting for a smaller manufacturing process. If they were underclocked they were probably to hot
I think the quality of games would be better. PC games have actually suffered in quality because of consoles. Let's be honest here, any pc you buy today(desktop) would be much faster than a console. It's not that big a deal to update a graphics driver and you don't have to do it for every game. Different hardware just adjust the resolution. I think it's better to be given options. Basically every 360 game is on the pc anyway and even epic, lionhead, etc. all came from pc games...
next gen console won't be as fast as a high end pc. High end pcs can use 2 or 3 graphics cards and the next gen consoles gpu will be scaled down probably due to heat and power.(TDP)
The Witcher 2 was a good game that uses dx9. Not sure but I don't think playstation uses directx
but God of War 3 had impressive graphics imo
Yeah devs from Europe are putting out good stuff, I think maybe because Europe PC is more popular and in the US consoles seem to be more popular
All recent Bethesda games have been developed for console first but they have great mod communities on pc. You can mess with the ini configs to make the graphics a little better on pc though
aside from the dlc issues it's a good game but why is it called a "western" rpg?
PC will probably be the best platform since it has the best controls, graphics, and the construction set but all pc games have to install too.
I think it was 5 cds but you have to install the game anyway so it doesn't really matter. btw I lost some of my disks when i tried to reinstall hl2 but it was ok because I was able to just download from steam.
games that use GFWL have annoying drm too. I had to make a xbox live account to save my game in batman aa (bought from steam)
If you think next gen consoles are gonna beat a high end pc built for gaming than I think you're gonna be disappointed. PC doesn't have a budget for cost or power it's up to the user. Consoles have to be affordable for the masses and have to fit into a small case. Gears might've been best on consoles but wasn't that special on pc. sorry it's true.
