Vsync just makes the gpu sync the vertical refresh rate to the horizontal refresh rate. (vertical sync) Look at your video card driver it will say "wait for vertical refresh". Screen tearing is usually when either the vertical or horizontal refresh is higher than the other. Monitors will have like a 30-80 horizontal refresh and like 55-75 vertical. Vsync causes frames to be jerky because when you drop frames it will go from like 60-30(or 45?) I never pla...

I don't think the game was ever advertised as an RPG. Seems like an action game. (devil may cry, god of war, etc.)

You can try to disable your onboard graphics in the bios. Set the graphics to PCI express or PEG and disable the onboard graphics. If you are playing on a laptop than I'm not sure if you can do it.

I think DRM is fine as long as it's simple and doesn't get in the way of playing your games that you have payed for. Steam is popular because of it's great sales and ease of use. They let you mod your games, gift games, offline mode, etc. The DRM ms tried to put in xbox1 was very restrictive. (always online, no disk sharing, etc.) The DRM that ms had for pc was never popular either. (GFWL)

Both the cpu and gpu are responsible for framerate.

Why would the xbox only use one core? All cpu's made now are multi core, so why would only the xbox be programmed to use just one core? If dx12 is improving cpu performance, how is that going to improve xbox graphics, which struggles because of a weak GPU. Of course if you compare pictures of dx10 and dx11, dx11 will look better. NEW HARDWARE was required to run dx11.

@Volkama

Multithreading is already in dx11. I would think it is also in dx11.2. I'm not sure if AMD supported it in their drivers.

Your GTX690 will easily do this.

this was on one 680. No slow down and better destruction. Microsoft should run this demo on a titan like how they demo some of their games and not the cpu.

I think sony went with GDDR5 because it is made for graphics. (GDDR = graphics ddr) No graphics cards use regular ddr ram. A MS engineer said they did not target higher end visuals. (probably to cut costs) It's next to impossible for the xbox1 to have the same graphics performance as the ps4, due to ps4 having a superior gpu. GPU = (graphics processor)

"Each move engine can read and write 256 bits of data per GPU clock cycle, which equates to a peak throughput of 25.6 GB/s both ways"

"The four move engines share a single memory path, yielding a total maximum throughput for all the move engines that is the same as for a single move engine."

So wouldn't the peak throughput be the same? Since they share bandwith. If the move engines are used for compressing and decompressing aren't ...

XBOX and Playstation are competing in the console market. PC players don't care what resolution consoles run games at.

Ok, I play games on pc and I usually don't use vsync. Framerate will always go up or down depending on what's happening. That's why when you see reviews on video cards, they give the avg. framerate. To have a good experience, the minimum framerate is what's important. So if you have a min. framerate of 50, than it will look smooth, but if the framerate is low with a high max framerate it will be noticeable.

It might be the mbt law or active radar. They lock on when they are close to your vehicle but are shot like rpg (you don't have to lock on when aiming)

If you want to play on the same team as your friend, try clicking customize team and go to an empty squad or join the squad he is in. There is an app you can download to customize your loadout in game and if you use it on a tablet it also can use the battlescreen feature.

Are you serious? Most online games I played on XBOX were p2p. When talking about dedicated servers I think people are talking about server for hosting the game, which is nothing new. There would be a PSN with or without XBOXlive because online games are popular. SONY was making online games before XBOX even came out. Heard of everquest? It was released in 1999, XBOX came out in 2001.

Japan market is small but Asia is very big. Most sales charts just show US, Europe and Japan.
