Albatross 18 is a great game.
actually the blu-ray read times are not the issue... It's more related to naive parallel programming issues.
Just so you know a blu-ray drive in the PS3 averages a higher read speed then the xbox - just the outer edge (if you like to call it that) on a DVD drive runs faster for about 15% of the disc.
Multicore does not mean you are creating proper parallel processes. And yes I realize the xbox is multicore but in a much less parallel manner.
Most X360/PC developers do what is called naive multiprocessing... that is not using parallel algorithms but off loading entire tasks to each processer with no or little attempts at balancing or truly optimizing the multiprocessor parallel code.
If you optimize using true parallel algorithms etc it goes to multicores li...
Much harder this time round as you can't get them by playing the same way. They are split on how you play the game not just temporally and spatially. ie: you have to finish the game a min of three times just to get the good guy ending the bad guy ending and the neutral guy ending.... (and that is only one of many hundreds of endings which can each possibly be achievement point.)
They addeed more because it seemed empty in someplaces.
I hope this doesn't mean they shoveled extra missions in because they wanted more to do... Shovel missions suck : kill 20 of this mutant rat etc....
If the missions they added are fun and inventive go for it - I would prefer no missions to shovelware missions.
Wow.... who would have thought...
Oh right, EVERYONE.
Well programming priorities again hurt a title.
As any multiprocessing programmer can tell you - it is easier to go from multi -> single processing algorithms rather then the other way around as the logic is different but scales down easily. Single to multi is much harder as the logic changes drastically... Oh well another company that will die in the coming parallel processing world.
While they may be a product of their environment people still are responsible for their own actions...A PERSON IS PURELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS - Anyone can say no I won't swear, no I won't kill etc - no one other then themselves is forcing them to go out and do those things.
I don't disagree that parents and environmental conditions can have an effect but still:
If we claim that environment/nuture rules peoples actions we should let killers go who wer...
Exactly Breakfast!
Well the student (Yosuke Hayashi) has surpassed the Master (Tomunobu Itagaki ) with the latest two iterations of the NG games.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma appears to be the superior game.
one question....
have you seen it in motion? Is it static? How are the shadows created etc?
a bright light does not a bright scene make.
1) GTA Streamloads the city - it does not load the entire city at once - just the immediate area that you can see + a % so yeah while you can see the entire city - you can't see it all at once all active at once. System constantly loads the % buffer so it looks like it is rendering the entire city - IT IS NOT.
Even in multiplayer it only renders what it has to for each player (and each client does most of that )
Thus your first point is rubbish - the graphics can and should be b...
Just because you don't like what someone does doesn't mean you should hate the person.
Maybe it's time to Grow Up.
"The most glaring error of all is that the coverage seems to blame the Xbox for the child swearing without taking other considerations into account."

GAH. What a crock. The failure with this article is that statement... PEOPLE ARE and SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS. <PERIOD>
If someone swears - it's not the playground kids fault, their parents fault or societies fault - It's purely th...
and yet the Nvidia Engineers and Sony Engineers still say that 1.8Tflops is correct.
Nvidia has publically stated that it was faster then quad sli'd 7800gtxs
Hmm video does not play in FF3RC1 (gives a page error)
It's called something to strive for.
Didn't disagree with you in the button but so you know... some of us don't think Zelda anything is worthy of a 10 ^_^
Of course I kinda hate Nintendo and that may colour my ratings. (is why I don't usually comment on how good Nintendo games are - rather appear neutral than spiteful)
That's because it is in a theoritical sense - the issue is how to use that power effectively. Matrix Transformations use flops so most graphics do but unless you can get a handle on split mem architectures it really doesn't help. Those who have it figured out are creating amazing games those who haven't - well the less said about bad ports and bad development cycles the better.
Follow the rules = no ban... how hard is that to do?
and.... believe me his belief that the PSN is less strict is much mistaken.
