@Shinegyno

Sony and Nintendo did start together... Nintendo screwed over Sony by dropping development of the PS1 at the last moment and Sony never forgives nor forgets.

And yet Sony almost always has better first and second party releases. Why would Microsoft be in charge of software?

EPOCH FAIL!

(yes I used epoch - there is not a time line where this will occur ever!)

and just so everyone remembers - Sony and Nintendo did start out together but Nintendo stabbed Sony in the back... Sony does not forgive nor forget.

just so you know... Sony join the Blu-ray club after Apple ^_- (days but still -after-)

And yes Apple Sony has a greater chance then Apple Microsoft by any stretch of the imagination. 0.1% vs 0.0000001% chance!

Sounds like a plan... I prefer to rent questionable titles and if I like it then I buy it.

GT5P is well over a million sold though so what's your point?
/shrug

MGS4 has nearly a million preorders so far and 2 batchs of 10k MGS4 PS3 special editions have sold out so far at a 100$ premium for a lesser version of the PS3...
This all suggests that MGS4 will be a huge hit.

not impossible because of size but because Kojima has said so.
no other reason is needed.

Financial incentive to make them the same.
If one purely outshines the other they currently lose about a 1/4 of their predicted sales that a multiplatform would carry (another 1/2 are people with both platforms and the last 1/4 would not have bought it anyway)

before you blow off the PS3 version:

Extremely enhanced graphical engine (double the AA and almost 2x as many polygons), 5.1 channel audio (vs 2.1), over 50 hours of gameplay (vs 30), extra bonus levels, a lot of completely revamped animations (90%+), character interactions (increased dialogue and other means of interaction).

Hmm: from what I know - and this in no way confirms or denies anything (Just to be Clear)

Mass Effect - Not likely as Microsoft is crosspublishing it. (ie: they still retain some creative control)

NG2 - possible - but Ita will not be the one doing the port

Infinite Undiscovery - impossible as SE has slated it as purely a Xtitle and is crosspublishing it with Microsoft (see Mass Effect)

Dead Rising - not likely as their last port f...

It would sell games... but much more targetted at certain audiences.
depth is the major component that has been lacking from games for a long time.

He isn't advocating creating games that no one would play - but games that actually have some depth, some meat and potatoes to them.

Resident Evil / Biohazard 4
Siren
splatterhouse
Deadspace
FatalFrame 4
Silent Hill 5

The purpose of the article is convince developers to make it more intelligent - thus dumbing up the game.

"Say goodbye to crowded conventions, sold out tickets, and lack of booth babes. Home is bringing the huge gaming events to the comfort of your own home. Innovative, and unique, I must say; certainly not what most people expected from Sony’s constantly delayed social experience."

lol... it's exactly what they told us about - so why would we not expect it?
