It would have to be one hell of a game for $500. Crackdown wasn't for me the first time. It was a bonus for owning a 360, but not a reason to buy one.
One thing I loved about the initial Tomb Raider trailer, and what set it apart from Uncharted, was it's focus on the emotional impact that pushed Lara over the edge. Unfortunately, it started and ended with the trailer. Within seconds, she was wielding a bow and gun like a Navy Seal on steroids. My eye is on Hellblade now for this reason. The difference in my playing has been my love away from mmos. It's sad, and I keep up with a few communities, but it's impossible to keep up with the exclusives. Just started Nioh and wanna get to Nier before Uncharted dlc and D2 come.
This number alone is staggering! At least 10 are major exclusives! It's nuts. And to this list we will be adding GoW, Spiderman, Detroit, Dreams, TLoU2, Ni No Kuni 2, Death Stranding, and many more! Sony is killing it! They had me so worried last gen!

It absolutely does! They have added a TON of new and FREE content. Tbh, I'm not one of the people that thought a team of 4 was making Skyrim in space so I enjoyed it a lot! Played over 100 hrs and can't wait for more dlc!

I am in awe at the fact that they made the same mistake as before, charging $100 more than Sony. If they had a HUGE advantage in power that was noticeable on TV commercials, targeted a mass audience (not 4k), and had killer apps, then maybe I would consider charging $100 more.
Right now, their best bet would be to take a loss, as MS has the cash, and get these damn systems in people's homes. Then start targeting to superior multiplat gameplay etc. If they come out with ...

The actual truth is that theybscrewed up big time with D1, while also miscalculating it's genre. They were playing catch up the entire time. Having had to use some of D2 for dlc, they ran short of time again, and this is why D2 is more of an expansion, which is fine. It IS an MMO and expansions are OK. But MMO doesn't sell, and is too confusing...
I think this article missed the entire point. Activision partnered with MS last gen b/C of their commitment to the fps genre and hardcore crowd. It had nothing to do with being a more powerful console.
Now, MS has a more powerful console, but Sony has sold 60 million consoles. That's tough to ignore! Though, I was surprised that Sony partnered for Cod because the PS3 user base caught up despite MS exclusivity. Maybe it came packaged with Destiny.
