Wow..after reading responses, I am stunned. I figured that is was a given that if this game outperformed asylumn, it would easily b the best if not the best superhero game. From review scores, it appears that it may battle skyrim and uncharted 3 for game of the year. This is saying something too as i presume uncharted and skyrim may become two of the best titles released this generation and arguably...ever. i know bioshock and mass effect 3 will b awesome but even mentioning a superhero game ...
Thanks you for an honest review. I think it may suffer from giving a fallout feeling but not the depth but it does so many things right that are original. The graphics r breathtaking as r the animations, the guns and the hit detection. I just wish there was more but that's not a bad thing.
I guess I really need to get a PC because to me, the game is stunning on ps3, one of the best looking games on console. My only issue is that it felt like fallout so i wanted a huge fallout-esque game. But, the animations are second to none. The weapons are great and feel great. The AI is pretty good and hit detection is perfect. I think it suffered from being caught between a corridor shooter and an RPG and it turned off enthusiasts of both. Would it have been so hard to put this as a disclaimer on the beta. It is most likely similar to carmacks hi Res install for rage. Its 8 gbs on ps3 but, my gosh, its gorgeous. I wonder if they got the idea from this. Regardless, if hi Res textures can b installed and streamlined, these consoles may have some life in them yet because rages textures are phenomonal. It is a graphical powerhouse for consoles. The textures are gorgeous. It also breaks up the boredom of a linear fps. There is much to do to keeping occupied and the AI animations are amazing. I love the upgrades and the vehicle play isn't bad...it beats hitting a button to return somewhere. The story isn't as great as i had hoped and there are a few issues but overall it is definitely a move in the right direction and it has improved on many recently stagnant aspects of the fps genre....
Battlefield 3 did a marvelous job this ye w advertising, offering to fill the void left by cod's stagnant approach in releasing an annual entry. Ppl have grown tired of cod and they responded by saying that there was no need to reach w mw3. This opened the doors for B3 and EA and dice responded magnificently w a 6 month blitz, holding the hottest spot on n4g over the release of juvgernauts such as gears 3.

I guess i do agree w u. Im a big capitalist so u make sense. I thought about it and if u were a shareholder and u built a huge franchise and garnered millions of users, u would want to cash in. There is a balance though. Hopefully they found it or in the long run, they r losing money. I guess cod has proven though that we will buy everything.

I thought a 7 for resistance was rediculous but a 3 for dead island? I guess bugs can destroy an experience, but r3 has no bugs. It is an 8.5 imo. Gears is a 9.25, & dead island ranges from whatever to an 8.75 depending on how many bugs or glitches. U gotta b honeat. The sp is the best of the series and definitely worth another playthrough but the oberall content and replayability is scaled way back. Killzone 3 did the same thing and it hurts the overall experience. I played r2 online for months both co op and versus. The 10000 kills was a great goal and the co op was fresh and original. Hardcore trophy hunters? This affects only a few ppl right now and maybe only him. And i know someone who has 195 plats and he is a level 40.
