Exactly...its always a reboot. The argument should be about how it will look or play. It is time to take it HD, make it look great, add some voices. the quality will have to be top notch, and i have no worries. Bit, it could be epic on next gen.
I loved this game. To me, its near perfect. Its only flaw being that i platted it in under 130 hrs. I love rpgs that take me 2 x as long...lol.
Money is Money. This may be ainy's allocated adverstisement money to shore up the next gen base or to prepare everyone for a subscription fee.
U also have to remember that to get these deals, u have to constantly pay for ps+, a constant revenue stream that theymay need right now. Many of the games may not have been purchased otherwise, so where is the loss? Tjey know what they are doing.

But, like used games etc., i think that they patent fir the future. If it doesnt play blu rays like one source mentioned...i guess it would have to be digital and i would have to own one.
I dont use it either but it could be pretty awesome on ps4 if it is done right. Incorporate facebook or twitter and ustream. Call it something else like playstation world (which may be the new plus service). Hell,u could make the OS launch into ur apartment, or mansion. U can hold events that announce gamez etc., but only in ps home. It can be done right. New memory will help. If u can get right to it and move from place to place without long loading times, it will help. It can be done.

The week of the 24th to the 31st is shaping up to be the best week I have had in a long time. First, on Monday night the spiritual successor to my all time favorite game releases. I understand the need to do another one because it sells well, isnt risky and is a definite revenue stream for an ambitious company that looks to make a splash early in next gen.

If the ps4 cost $400 at launch and they add BC, it will raise cost to $450-$500. The ps3 will see price drop also so how much will u really be saving? Isnt it better to keep for awhile? I still am only halfway through my insane playthrough so it may ne a bit til i play this, unless its something i should do with my main character, being that everyone is alive (almost). I guess i will see if i can ever seem to get to these games that still sit there on my shelf.

They have been a competitor on pc for a long time now. Many ppl have moved from consoles to pc and steam. Now they are taking that to the living room.
Its a very arrogant statement coming from a console that needs a big showing for next gen. The last 2 yrs havnt exactly been inspiring for the hardcore base. Either that, or has been written, Nintendo is their new competition for the casual a motion control audience.
This may be true but an increase in console power will allow developers to do more with games that will benefit pcs also. Many games are simply ported with some display options but, you may be surprised that pc games will look even better now. Also, gameply will see tweaks. It will be good all around. Also, i wont have to use a mouse and keyboard...thank god.
Anyway, these guys have been busy. AC3 took many years and at the same time they have been creating this for this gen ...
I want one before ps4 launches. Its about price but also about games. Persona 4 helped alot but Nintendo has managed to grab alot of ips back from sony and that has hurt.
I do believe that if the pricepoint is right or they package with the ps4 for a great price, they can move them. They wanna do it soon though as they dont want to compete with themselves in November, or Microsoft. And the more they sell, the more developers will want to make games for it.
This is my hope. AC3 was a money grab and a run at new mechanics. They know it sells well and has to be released yearly so they put it out and it did. They are still the best in the biz at creating immersive worlds. They stated that they worked on Ac3 for 4 yrs during brotherhood and revelations. If this is true, they may have also been working on this for next gen too. They introduce ship mechanic to rave reviews in AC3.

I debated this or God of War before Bioshock and i chose this. I am not disappointed...pleasantly surprised. It has everything that makes a game great, even if it borrows heavy from other games and isnt much like other tomb raiders. Dare I say its better?
