I think there is a happy medium. For one, in tomb raider they coulda fixed the shooting problem by simply mentioning that she was a badass at fighting, training since little but never had to kill...enter a moment in which she realizes she has to kill and ...killing machine. But I think shooters in general need to either up the enemy variety and strategy or they will go stale.

Bioshock isn't for everyone. Gamers that don't like story elements are not gonna be impressed. Fps fans that don't want super powers are gonna be annoyed by them. Rpg only fans may love these elements but will hate the fps, linearity and lack of an open world, and the length. There is no real choice that has major impact.

Hoestly for me, April may be 2012 fav game dlc month. Two of my favorite games last yr were dishonored and dragons dogma. Both are getting sp dlc this month and I can't wait. Its gonna b tough, though playing anything after bioshock. Actually after ni no kuni, tomb raider, walking dead episodes and bioshock. 2013 has been amazing.
But it isn't as good as the titan...the best card out...lol...jk...developers are happy to finally hav a decent static system modeled after a pc. I still don't understand all the arguments. Everyone should b happy. Console gamers get a better console thatsveasier to build for. Its potential is unknown. And PC gamers can still use the PC. Me too. This is one game I wish I had a great pc to play. It is my favorite IP of all time and the pc version is definitely better...though its been said its better with a gamepad plugged in.
I agree though its multiplayer, while shiny is actually really good. Now, I always thought that they should either ditch the sp or go all out with something amazing. The money would be better spent on mp, whether competitive or some type of co op. To the sane, it is nice to have games like B Infinite and the Last of Us coming at the end of a cycle...it provides hope for the direction of next gen video games. I am also looking forward to Beyond and GTA obviously, but not just because its gta. I want to see how they have pushed the genre.
Its their own fault. Its what happens when we r flooded with games, especially similar ones. It isn't so much our expectations, its a natural expectation to want change. In the past maybe, change was more noticeable between releases. Nowadays, theres a lot of cash grabbing.
I am not skipping playing games but I am not gonna but MGS5, Battlefield 4 etc. on this gen...no way!! I am still playing as many games as I can because I am so backlogged. That and my fav IP of all time just released. I am playing it so slow because I don't want it to end.
It will be similar to this gen with ps4 being more powerful. MS doesn't care b/c they know that most games will be nearly the same. PS has invested heavily in 1st party titles and that's great for us but MS knows they have a huge base of gamers and if the pricepoint is right, they know everyone will buy one eventually if they can offer a better entertainment experience. This is their focus just like this gen, to make the entertainment experience the best one out there.
