I would love to be proven wrong but I have a guy on my friends list that is top 5 or something...its absurd. Anyway, I am almost certain that these guys do this as a group of ppl. If u look at the games and bteak down the trophies since 2008 or whatever...its near impossible. I havnt seen Hakoom's but I am assuming it isn't much different.
Is it simply the broadcasting of a video game or the monetization of it? And if it is just the later than theyhave no real issue with the videos...just the fact that someone is making money off their intellectual property. But the we may ask, whose IP is it if I am recording myself doing a speedrun?Wow...very murky. We need new laws. Until then, in a time in which a lot of money has bebeen invested in new consoles, I believe they should err on the side of caution and let the industry flourish...
Can you show things that aren't walkthroughs? I understand both sides but I have only ever watched something once I own it or to see if I want to buy it. If a company isn't confident in their product...then too bad. But, I am an avid gamer and have never watched video so I didn't have to pay for it...wtf?
I think they will experience unforseen consequences...one of which is diminishing or hurting a culture that actually needs help right now. As we move towards soc...
There must be a reason that they do it...my guess isn't majority of gamers but the lowest common denominator. Most gamers over 30 played Zelda 2 and Mega Man...they don't nees tutorials and love a challenge. And most gamers I know r very smart ppl...but there must exist a demographic that isn't. And considering how terrible r schooling is today and how.literacy is at an all time high...I can understand. Throw in competition and raging add and adhd and u get a consumer base that ha...
It is hard for ppl to imagine that Mario isn't quite what it was to all of us in our 30's. I still love Mario but I am not buying a console to play it when I have a 3ds. The kids love it and love playing on the ps3 & ps4. Kids today are different. Once they reach a certain age they wanna play CoD...not Mario. Most ppl I know that play Mario and donkey Kong are my age. I do wonder though how many copies it would have sold as a PlayStation 4 launch game. I know it sounds like heresy...
It is tough...really tough and I hope they don't micromanage it to death...resulting in years of production. Do the best they can...bring in some die hard fans along the way to check in...and most importantly, don't keep us in the blind. Show what u have and what u r doing.
Its my fear for Half life 3 too. The hype is so great and expectations so grand that I wonder how Valve can possible make that game. So many games have borrowed, evolved and pushed forward so much ...
I've been saying this for awhile. Its like politics...they constatnly drive the competition and rehetoric while knowing very well that the success of the other, at least for the time being, is paramount to survival of the industry.
No way it comes out before next fall, when I assume Dragon Age Inquisition releases. Then, maybe the following March or so but probably not.
I don't mind if games choose f2p like warframe and blacklight retribution as they may think they will make more money off those who love the game. But if u sell me a $60 game and ask $50 for a season pass and then slow down progression and force microtransactions...I will never buy ur game...and no one else should either. Its a terrible practice and needs to b squashed immediately!
It needs to b legit, b in jan or feb, needs to have everyone on board, give votes to all the main players like IGN, GI, etc etc. If they r smart, they will take ou r votes to the show. Also, will NEED a couple big reveals. But, if its done right and has legit support, publishers will want to reveal their games there. Then, at E3, they can do follow ups with hands on. It could be really amazing. Need to create a board with representativea from all over and get thia thing rolling. Its what this...
What is the hate for Killzone. Its like it can't brrak its niche label. I will admit that its almost a travesty that they have wasted one of the greatest antagonists in video game history by consistently giving us so-so stories. I could have written a better story for shadowfall with the prevolent civil war and genocide themes. That beimg said, I love how they opened up the sp and gave us more options for combat. I wish they had kept k2's difficulty. SF needs an elite difficulty.
This would be my best advice. Get 3rd party publishers on board to make exclusive wiiU games as well as ports. Promise them 3DS support to make money. Then, like Sony, use some of the money they hav to buy a bunch of companies, some indies and some full scale, and begin making more exclusuve games. Also, create an incentive for the 10 million ppl or more that own a 3ds to buy a WiiU. There is a way. Or scrap the wiiU as fast as possible and create a new console that can compete. I never under...
And if I remember correctly...PS4 sold 1 million in 24 hrs and about 700, 000 copies of ghosts...not sure how many were $10 upgrades. This was in US but it shows the insane disparity. WiiU can survive on 1st party games but won't compete for the throne. This is a 2 man game. I wonder if the 3DS hurts their console success in any way. If I own a ps3, 360, ps4, 3ds and vita, why would I buy a wiiU? I have kids and I still don't see a reason. I hope I am wrong but w/ the ps4 at $400, no ...
And by the same argument, I should buy a ps2, a ps3, and an xbox 360. All have sold more, all have bigger libraries and the latter two are similar in actual tech. I bought a ps4 b/c I wanted next gen, I wanted to invest in the future. And I already own these 3. So, why would I buy a wiiU when I have all these consoles and a 3ds.
I love it. I love the direction they took the multiplayer, taking focus off of k/d and leveling and putting it on gameplay and teamwork. The spwas nice too, I liked how they opened it up and gave us more option. And its gorgeous. Small complaints are once again...the writing. For a civil war, genocide themed story, it couod have been really powerful. Also, while a little harder than 3, the difficulty is still quite scaled back from 2. Maybe an elite difficulty would have been nice.
...
Its good that both are selling well but 12, 000 in 27 min doesn't seem unrealistic at all. And what time slice would change giving amazon 12, 000 consoles and all of them selling out in 27 min?
The crazy thing that is slighly overlooked and that is amazing for gamers is how well PS4 has sold in the US. Japan is still waiting...its crazy. But, this means that the early install base will exist and maybe we will see some of the countlesa exclusives that come out in Japan bu...
Now...please get this to the ps4...april is so far away.
I have high expectations for this game. I have faith that they know what we loved from Origins and how to make it better without streamlining it. Hopefully next gen consoles will get pc like versions. Bioware is still so damn good at creatingemotionally engaging games that are amazing to play.
And all in on customization is great. Players love to have choice and to differentiate themselves. And rewards are amazing...its what prolongs a game...keep giving us items for r accomplishments and DO NOT be afraid to reward the skilled...to give them something that others can identify them by. I am average at fps games but great players r the base and establish longevity. Reward tjem most!
This guy I know has almost as many but the list includes everything from lost planet 2, souls games, killzone 2, many rpgs, resistance 2, gta4 & 5 etc etc. Its almost impossible unless a bunch of ppl are working together. I could b wrong...and usually am...but I have actually figured it out before and its insane.
