Last thing it needs is a reason not to play.
Designed for the early access program, NOT a $60 retail release.
It really reminds me of NMS. We thought there would be so much more than there is. Luckily NMS has continued to add content...and still is.
SoT is a great template, but nothing to really do. Maybe adding some type of building mechanic and letting pirates create clans and forts, naming islands and ships, and holding forts. Add the ability to launch attacks against forts and take them from other pirates, gain access to stores etc. Allow us to gather and collect and run our ow...
and next year it will be GoW.
How you got downvoted is nuts. This is basically the beta for $60 with no end date.
Reminds me of NMS launch. So much potential, very little payoff. Though at least Inplayed NMS for 100 hrs and at least they spent a yr updating it to become something pretty good.
Hopefully Rate does too because the template is here. It’s just lacking well...anything at all to do.
Games like this become legendary and ever-lasting, almost as if it were meant to be. It’s as if everything happens for the right reason at the right time, and once in a great while, we get something truly special. This GoW is shaping up to be just that. And this story only adds to the feeling I am having.
First, we get Uncharted and TLoU. Sony releases the PS4 and it quickly becomes a dominant force again. Souls and it’s unique niche becomes popular and B.B. is considered ...
For $20 I might have been happier to partake in an early access while they finished the game, but after the beta, I was sure we’d get the other 90% of the game at release. There is NO more. It’s basically just letting you play the beta forever for $60.
I am all for the Eve online strat of creating a world and letting the players fill it and live in it. But ya have to offer progression and a reason to play. There is little apart from a drunken party game.

If you have an entire website asking people to order, but have no details at all, except cliche statements, what can we actually expect?
This is NOT a backlog game. I can understand how many may not have played it at launch without a Switch or because of Horizon or P5. But you buy a Switch to play this game. It isn’t sitting on many shelves unopened.
I thought I was crazy when I saw this. I had to go look elsewhere to see if I had been reading the name wrong the last 18 months lol! Revenant Kingdom’
Why would they add it? It’s selling like hot cakes and by the time you are done buying what you need and a couple games, you’ve dropped $600. They might consider adding it an updated Switch once the initial selling crazy levels off.
What some company should do is just release an app and sell their retro games. They would make a fortune.
The early reviews for this are amazing! Can’t wait!
Nice! At Negrigante now! It will be a bit before I can take this monster on!
Yep. I’d prefer a smaller world filled with detail and dynamic gameplay over a gigantic world that is mostly filled with fields to run across.
Some great deals. If you got Bloodborne for free, GRAB the dlc for $6. It doubles the weapons and are great for a full playthrough.
I can see them replacing the 3DS is a portable only version for sure. Makes a ton of sense.
What I’ve wanted is The Apple store or Google Play on a portable gaming device. A one stop shop for mobile wants.
Not that it wasn’t, but now it’s a day 1. When is VC4 coming because I can’t wait for that either. Is it just Japanese atm?
So Andromeda, a game not even made by their AAA team means that a dev that has made some of the greatest games to date is dead?
I’ll wait a bit.
