I checked before going to bed, and my PS4 digital "Guardian Edition" wasn't set to unlock until 12:04am (PDT) according to the timer. I found it odd that it was a few minutes after midnight, but figured they might have staggered activations to prevent a sudden flood once midnight hit. I bought Diablo on PSN...was going to get Last of Us, but my brother rented it...excellent game...but I don't feel the need to buy the game after completing the story.

No, they haven't stated any numbers because their numbers are an embarrassment, and they don't want the general public to know how badly they are losing. I don't expect any holiday announcements either, since they will continue to be outsold by the competition.
You can see Microsoft's "commitment" (or lack of it!) by their total absence at TGS. If they were truly serious about making Japan a successful market for them, they would have lined up support for their console YEARS ago with developers, instead of waiting until the last minute.

Well, there are a few problems with this.
First, "Destiny" is already a trademarked name for a fragrance. The makers are not going to be happy that MS is hijacking their intellectual property for a publicity stunt.
Secondly, Microsoft violated Activision's intellectual property with this ad campaign. Activision is not going to be happy with this.
Third, Microsoft also violated the exclusive agreement that Activision signed wit...

Why? Because sales are in the gutter, and they KNOW that Destiny is going to push PS4 sales...so what do they do? Offer "any" game free to try to get people to buy an Xbox instead. Desperation move...just like their "Destiny Fragrance" misfire.
