SO HYPED FOR THIS!

So another $40 isn't a cost, even though you bought a controller already? You seem to can't accept the fact that some people like the DS4 and even prefer it over the xboxone. For some it's more comfortable, cheaper and feels better in the hand. Others like the One's controller. It's an opinion... not fact

I would like Gears and Alan Wake on PS4. These 2 games were my favourite on the 360 last gen. Sony has a lot of first party IPs. A good horror and an action bro shooter would be good too.

Batteries add long term continuos cost, similar to how the charger pack adds cost to the controller itself. It's a money making scheme.

And your comment about how much people game and pro gamers... I have 2 PS4s and 5 controllers. I game more than most. I have no peeling on any controllers. Sony also has a return programme for these... similar to how MS had a return programme for an entire console. This defect is gone now with new incarnations. And no I'm not defend...

Shame about the launch issues. Imagine how great the game would have been received if they didn't have those issues. I believe over 2 million copies sold. I don't really play racers, but this game looks awesome. It's also not so hardcore to be niche. I prefer bikes when it comes to racing games so I may pick this up. Have the plus version.

Not because you prefer something means others are lying a obout their preference. I prefer the DS4, but liked the 360's more than the DS3 last gen. The Xboxone controller is just too big and wide. I hate the bumpers and the clickiness. Plus the analogue sticks are way too sensitive... similar to DS3. The batteries I also dislike.

The DS4 isn't perfect. But I prefer it. It's a preference, not a lie.

MS introduced the whole exclusive content, content first, and the whole marketing partnership deal, muddling the waters of what EXCLUSIVE actually means. Sony is just playing the same game this Gen.

In the PS2 era Sony didn't have to pay. Publishers wanted to be on the PS2, with the situation reversed with the PS3. But Sony had and still has strong FIRST PARTY with variety, quality and quantity. This is something MS doesn't and never had. Instead, to compete they pa...

So many of these articles:

The Cloud gives the the xboxone the power of 10 xbox ones.
Losing kinect gives the xboxone 10% more power.
DX 12 will make it faster along with windows 10.

At this rate this thing should be able to launch missiles and control satellites. Yet it's not on par with multiplats? The proof will be the game's running equally or better than the competition. Everything else and all other claims remain irrelevant....

Playing old gen games is not about power. The PS3 doesn't scale or use similar tech to the PS4. Imagine taking an engine and placing it in last year's model car? To work only a few tweaks are needed. It won't work in another car. It would have to re-engineered. Everyone wants BC yet it's hardly used

@Morganfell...

I do believe PS4 will take Nov and Dec easily and i have been following this on GAF. However remember for OCT the August and September Halo console preorders will count towards OCTs NPD. That could be substantial. I still do think it will be very close though, and that's crazy given its Halo month.

They were fine with showing sales all of last gen, they were fine with their PR quotes and NPD numbets last gen. Total revenue with bundling hardware and software for Halo when this has never been the case? Never said they should, just that it's uncharacteristic and hence suspicious and strange. I'm sure MS could care less about fan boys in other camps and more on focusing on the game's success.. like they did last gen by giving solid numbers for this franchise.

The game's success is being downplayed? No one knows how successful the game actually is given the lack of numbers from MS. Uncharacteristic for MS and this franchise. By many accounts the game's numbers is the least sold at launch, which could be the reasoning for bundling of hardware by MS PR. Something I dont believe has been done when mentioning game launches. That's all people are saying, which may have some truth to it.

MS counting hardware console sales in this. Why not say how much the game actually sold? Regardless good numbers all round.

The announcements this year have been no short of amazing. I mean the holy trinity of FF7: Remake, Shenmue 3 and TLG? One after the other at the same conference? Not to mention new IPs like Horizon, RIME, No Man Sky, WILD, Dreams, GT Sport... Plus the the games from last year's PSX!

A lot of games, with staggered releases throughout the year... 2016 and beyond.

This is revenue... total sales, not total profits. Big difference here. Also, it seems many didn't read the article or don't understand the implications. You can generate more revenue and not be in profit, or have the biggest share of the market. Also, PC and Minecraft are included in this. It is not a like for like comparison.

Still overall a good read. Whether people agree with the numbers or not.

A lot of people say resolution doesnt matter... It matters when you have a choice of something better/higher for the same price.

If you play a game on PC and change the resolution from 720, to 900, to 1080p... can you tell the difference? Of course you can. Yes it's less obvious when side by side, and may not influence game play. However, it's about choice and competition.

MS doesn't talk about sales numbers anymore... except from Sept-Dec.

3868d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Being sold in double the terrorites isn't the comparison here. Infact if you remove those that the xbox one are not in, the PS4 still leads. Last gen the PS4 came a year later... something that is very much ignored in discussiona about the 360. Software isn't lacking on PS4. In fact more games were released across both years on the PS4... not just the holidays. Mind share, constant releases variety and value are what will determine who stay ahead. Sales and games at XMAS is a short s...

3868d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

No matter what MS does over the holidays, the PS4 will still take every month worldwide. MS may have Oct, but Nov and Dec will be very close. Being close in NPD isn't good enough to compete, especially when that means selling at a loss and still losing worldwide all year and NPD all year. A fire sale will amost always mean a surge in sales... it's sustainability that gives longevity and relevance in the console race.

3868d ago 10 agree1 disagreeView comment

@ FoeHammer... there has been just as much choice, if not more on PS4 all year. Not just the holiday like MS. Variety too. Multiplats also perform better on PS4, now at the same price. The PS4s success over the xbox one was at a higher price point. Imagine the holidays now? Halo can only do so much. And only do so much in 2 markets.
