Did you fail math? How is 6 out of 23 a clean sweep or even close to a clean sweep? Is it because of the multiplatform games? Walk tall, walk tall. Also, this title is flamebait and should've been titled something like IGN's Best of E3 2009 Awards. Oh well, fanboy in, fanboy drop dead.
And shouldn't you be so butthurt that a DS game took best of show? Also, most other sites gave best of show to Uncharted.
Where did you get those "facts", specifically "facts" 3&4? See most intelligent people understand facts as things that are true and not subject to interpretation. Statistics are subject to interpretation and there are no accurate numbers for a good deal of the WW market. So again, where did you get those "facts"?
The Next Big Thing is the future. Or the possibilities for the future. And that future is Minority Report.
This is sad that all the 360 fanboys are acting like Christmas came early because of this article.
"What did you get?"
"The best thing ever, Sony's selling like sh1t!"
"Awww, man. I wanted that. All I got is the Wii is still on top."
EDIT: @ Ultimolu:
I guess everyone's still butthurt over the lack of a price drop announcement at E3. If Sony drops the price this year, the announcement wil...
Actually, a marathon IS a race. It's just a very long race.
EDIT: @ Beyond: Whatever you say, buddy. I do think it's ironic that you came into a PS3 thread and claimed the PS3 is the last console on anyone's mind. Obviously the people here have the PS3 on their mind as well as you who seem to do nothing but troll PS3 stories.
EDIT2: @ Pistol: Calm down, I agreed with what you wrote; I was just pointing out a mistake when you misworded your comment. Don't be an as...
This seems like a death-bed confession to me. It's almost like they're trying to let the world know what they think before N. Korea goes apeshit and lets the genie out.
"They did it on purpose" isn't entirely accurate. They didn't want the hardware to be maxed out within the first 2 years so they made it "difficult" to code for. The idea being that games at the end of the console's lifecycle will look better than the games at the beginning instead of peaking early and looking the same throughout the console's lifecycle.
No, I wouldn't take it as a slight against God of War because: 1. I don't work for Sony so I don't get offended if someone makes fun of their games. 2. I understand the popularity of the franchise which is what the point of the comment was. Halo is a popular franchise, right? There are people that would buy a game with the name Halo on it regardless of the quality of the game, right? That's how my comment applies.
As far as anger is concerned, I think you are projecting. I am n...
At what, exactly? I made a comment about the article and people get their panties in a bunch. I did not say anything negative about Halo. I simply made a satirical comment about the popularity of Halo. Is it my fault that fanboys apparently lack basic reading comprehension? I bet if the situation was about a Sony exclusive and I had said the same thing, you would be cheering. Hypocritical much? It was a joke about the crap MS used to justify charging full price for what is ostensibly an expan...
I think why people are upset is because it was referred to as an expansion pack and a good deal of the content is already available and most people who would be interested already have it. It's the same thing when EA and Valve made all the people who already owned HL2 and Ep. 1 buy them again in Orange Box with no option to buy just the new content.
They should have just said, "It's Halo! We could sh1t in a box and people would buy it as long as it said Halo on the box." At least then they would have been honest.
This is not a jab against Halo. This is a jab against MS and the bullshit they use to justify overcharging for a game.
EDIT: Below: Unclench your panties and reread what I wrote. I did not call Halo a bad game. I did not call Halo a bad series. I would argue about Halo Wars, but that's bes...
The reason the naysayers of Natal are calling out playing full games with Natal is because that is exactly what MS showed Natal being used for in their product vision video. You saw a kid playing a fighting game and a skating game, a girl playing a racing game, a little boy playing a godzilla game, etc. That is why peole are assuming MS wants to use Natal to play most of their games, because that is the impression MS gave at their conference.
EDIT: You call it bringing Natal do...
I apologize if my comments offended you, that was not my intention. I understand your points about Natal and I was more playing devil's advocate as those are some of the issues I see with Natal becoming the Next Big Thing. Look on the bright side, at least I read the article before commenting, even though I disagreed with it.
First of all, go fvck yourself.
Second, go fvck yourself in the ass.
Third, I was the first to approve this story, because, regardless of what you claim, I am not a SDF member or a PS3 fanboy. Yes, I prefer the PS3, I also prefer having sex with women, doesn't mean I hate gay people. I have no problem approving positive stories about the 360 or the Wii, unlike some people. I go to the articles that I find interesting and I'll give my opinion about them.
...
I have never seen an article that is so painfully optimistic and yet so fully wrong. His reasons are weak and have nothing to do with the primary function of consoles, which is playing games.
Also, there is one huge pet peeve I have with Natal: stop calling it voice recognition, it's not. It's speech recognition. The difference? Speech recognition recognizes words regardless of speaker; Voice recognition recognizes an individual's voice regardless of words spoken.
This is exactly what is wrong with HipHopGamer. There are so many gammatical errors as well as several typos that it makes it very difficult to take his articles seriously. What the hell ever happened to proof-reading?
On Topic: Only retarded fanboys believed that this was going to work flawlessly from the very beginning. I honestly think that there will be very few people that will be able to fully enjoy this service the way MS intends at launch. However, the biggest drawback ...
The US is not the biggest market, at least not as much as you seem to think it is. Consider the fact that Japan has sold enough DS's to equal about 2 for every single person in the country and where people regularly leave work to buy the games from certain franchises. The US is only about 35% of the market, Japan is about 30%, and Europe and Oz are about 30%. The rest of the world is the last 5%. Also, since when aren't Media Create's numbers accurate?
Exactly. If they had people playing the game to do the trailer, that would be impressive, otherwise this is just a cutscene rendered in engine and that is not difficult to do.
EDIT: Above: Where's the proof that the trailer was done in game with players rather than a cutscene?
Not because of the idiotic things they say, not because of the aging Source engine, not even because of the mess over L4D2 (which is getting warmer).
Valve can and will say whatever they want. It's retarded though because eventually the things that they complain about the PS3 will start to affect PC development. Multiple core processing (symetrical or asymetrical) is not going to go away and Valve will evetually have to grasp the new technology, but I digress.

Where were the games from MGS? I only saw third party console "exclusives".
